Dagenham_Dave
Doesn't he have enough international caps to qualify for a permit? 15 by 18yo would suggest he's played in most of NZ's games recently.

New Zealand would have to be in the top 50 FIFA ranked countries for his cap number to even matter.
celtic_fc
I'm probably missing something but could you not sign him and loan him out to a Spanish club for 2 years?

You’ve missed that the UK is no longer part of the EU so loaning the lad to get quick EU citizenship will not help because he’ll still need to apply for a UK work permit. lewissticky1
I thought he would be okay too! But as Jordan said NZ aren't ranked high enough! Im just gonna attempt to sign him when we get to the prem!
sporadicsmiles
I'm fairly certain he would not get a work permit even without Brexit. Your rules suggest that there is only a limit on the Premier League for foreign players. The rules that were in place before are still in place in the Championship (except I guess players need a work permit from an EU country).
Geordieboy52
There are some ways around it - can you afford a whopping bid of over £4.6million? Then put him on a high enough wage to get in the top 33% of your club. Bob's your uncle... 5 points done and only 4 needed.

WorcesterLegend
i have 2 ways to get around it for you 1. after the transfer loan him till you get to premier league or 2. offer 4.6M for him (i dont know if future clausules count toward this) and offer him the average of your squad or more
