born-to-win
I don’t know if it has been put forward before or not by anyone on here, but maybe you could use the wages you earn over the years to add to your transfer budget. Say you are 10 years into a save, and you have built up a career earnings of say £10m, but have recently moved clubs to a club with not much money, but desperately want to sign a player for say £5m, then you could be able to use some of your career earnings to make this signing. CFuller
[Taps on sign] Quote Unless of course it's a request for the game to become 'Football Chairman', allow the manager to spend their own money or to do any other task a Football Manager simply would never do. Your idea will probably never be implemented in a game called Football Manager. This never happens in real life. When was the last time a manager of any significance ploughed his career savings into a club? Just because you have earned £10million over your career doesn't mean you should have £10million to put into your club's coffers. In reality, a lot of that money would go on paying bills, keeping one's family fed, clothed and under a roof, and other non-footballing stuff. FrazT
This has been suggested before and been rejected multiple times before, so it won't happen I'm afraid.
Delvi
I think there is already a use: you can't hire staff which is earning more than yourself, so it's important to have a high salary in order to being able to offer higher salary for coaches, scouts etc.
