So, I kindly ask Sports Interactive to allow "optional updating" on Steam... Now, your game automatically updates, and you can't choose to skip updating or select update you want to install... It's very much in SI's interest to have a level playing field when it comes to what version everyone is running. You say updating means bugs (which is wildly misguided at best), which is ironic given that letting users effectively choose their own version means they'd be far less efficient at actually fixing things that were wrong.
