TerminalPortugal Posted August 3, 2018 Author Share Posted August 3, 2018 End of August/September 2021 The cup final was real disappointment but we recovered from it, to keep on the straight and narrow in the league and it would help us qualify for the Confed Cup next season. That could be a real important factor for us, it opens up more silverware to win, but also probably helps in attracting better players. Confirmation that we will be in the CAF Confederation Cup next season. A fourth place finish ain't bad for us all things considered, a little disappointed we couldn't keep up with the leaders but we have a lot of improving to do, and I hope the DoF is able to address the key weaknesses such as wingback where we are so hopeless at the moment. Leopards won the league on the final day as CARA Brazzaville drew in a climatic finish to the season. Etoile blew their advantage over us to finish behind us for the final continental qualification position. At the end of the table JS Poto-Poto go down with Tourbillion. TerminalPortugal Posted August 3, 2018 Author Share Posted August 3, 2018 Players of the Season 2021 Botamba has been the man this season, he is a cut above our club and his return of 36 goals is extremely impressive from the striker. I hope we can keep a hold of him and he can continue to bang the goals in for us. Botamba's strike partner has been Miangounina, whom we almost just lost after the chairman decided they wanted to cash in on him. Fortunately I was able to cinvince them otherwise. He is only 19 and a hell of a player in this league. His pace is his main weapon. He scored more 40 goals and more than 30 assists provided. He really probably deserves the main prize, but he did go missing in a few games which is to be expected at his tender age. I can hardly wait for next season if we can keep him at the club to see what he can do. Packa has been the rock in midfield. His experience has had a powerful influence on the team and when he has been out of the team we have performed worse. He is on the decline and we do have to think about how to replace him. I just hope that the DoF has his eyes on midfield in the transfer market. This window the DoF really has to earn his keep, we need wingbacks, as we basically have none and are playing pretty poor fullbacks out of position, we need another striker and a midfielder. I think I will set a by rule that I can move clubs in the same country, however my legend status is reset and obviously trophies with two different clubs in the same country would not count together. They lost in the final of the Cup and lost TP Mazembe in the Champions League semi final, so they are still a pretty powerful force under new management. However the league form has been very good. We are top of the league and have two point lead over the chasing pack. Leopards haven't started too well which bodes well. In the cup we have had no problems and have progressed to the semi finals. Five points clear but Etoile have a game in hand. CARA have 6 games in hand but are 22 points behind, so in theory if they win all their games they might be somewhere near contention. Personally I think its going to come down to us and Etoile. In the end us and Etoile were the two going for the titles, the others were well behind. AC Leopards have had an awful season. At the other end of the table, Nathaly's and Patronage are going down. Madede has been a rock in midfield and his general play has been instrumental in winning the title this season. Boukaka came in on loan and I don't why he couldn't play at Kondzo but we took major advantage, as has been brilliant in midfield in partnership with Madede.
