Benitez Allstar
Hi Whilst new to this forum i have played football manager / championship manager since the mid 90's and enjoyed everyone. However as with alot of people i have downloaded the demo before looking at the spec required. I need to upgrade my graphics card and was after some advice at what would be the best card to get with a limited budget, as i have just brought some extra RAM (2gb)already to play FM09, and RAM + Graphic card + Game is starting to get pricey close to xmas. MS-6719 Motherboard if that helps. Thanks in advance. Jamie:)

It will blow away most other cards around that price.
Benitez Allstar
Have i got a agp or pci express slot how can i tell ? Will this work on my motherboard (MS-6719) Thanks:confused:
rekluse
Also I don't know what your motherboard is but all you really need to know is if your motherboard has a PCI-e slot, if you have around 2GHZ CPU and if you have a 300+ watt power supply and it will work. rekluse
I think your board is AGP/PCI only, no PCI-e. Best bet for finding an AGP card cheap for it would be ebay unfortunately. I don't know if I would invest in an AGP card though, if your able to I would send the ram back you got, get a new motherboard, new ram (probably cheaper than the ram you got actually), and then a decent pci-e card until your able to get better one. rekluse
Whatevers the best you can get in ebay, most companies don't carry AGP anymore. Overclockers has this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-161-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=403&name=Asus%20ATI%20Radeon%20HD%203650%20Vcool%20Silent%20512MB%20DDR2%20TV-Out/Dual%20DVI/HDMI%20(AGP)%20-%20Retail You can use this chart, although from 2005, to get an idea of where a card lies if you find one on ebay. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/vga-charts-vii,1070-4.html
rekluse
Also here is FM09's requirements: PC System Requirements OS - Windows Vista or XP Processor Speed - Vista - 2.0GHz, XP - 1.4GHz Memory - Vista - 1GB, XP - 512MB Videocard - 128MB Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra, ATI Radeon 9800, Intel 82915G/82910GL or greater. So you can look on that chart and your going to want something above the 5900 or 9800. The card I linked above from overclockers is better than anything on this chart though, this benchmark is from back when AGP was the norm.
