Stevenage Borough Football Club

aka The Boro

A Brief History:

The Stevenage Borough that we know today was formed in 1976 by a group of enthusiasts after the demise of the former town club, Stevenage Athletic. Following the bankruptcy of Athletic, the Broadhall Way pitch was dug up with JCB's in a determined effort to ensure it never saw football again. Since then, with help from the local authority, there has been a continuous re-build of the stadium, culminating in the splendid 7,100 capacity ground that is recognized today as one of the best outside the Football League.

Fancy a lower league challenge? Give them a try.

They have a decent reputation for a Blue Square Premier club and have decent finances to begin with.

And a nice change from managing Oxford! icon_biggrin.gif

To kick things off!

I have just finished my first season with The Boro.

After getting rid of A LOT of players and bringing in lots of fresh talent (transfersdi4.jpg), it was a very entertaining season.

I managed to win the first season with 30 wins 12 draws and 4 losses, whilst making it to the Setanta Shield final and winning the FA Trophy.

My player of the season was a little known Brazilian called Marcinho (who I incidentally just sold) who scored 24 goals in his 32 appearances.

Now I'm looking foward to an exciting year in League 2!
