B.W.G
San Marino Calcio - Serie D/D Club Background Everything you need to know about the club!! The Main Team Under 20's Under 18's Key Players Stefano Pellini Matteo Gasperi Hot Prospect Elia Donati Expectations Board expectations are a top half finish,I want to be challenging for a promotion playoff spot. The cups will be an additional bonus as I will be making the league my main priority. Not sure on tactics yet but will probably lean toward a 4-2-3-1.Should be pretty close in the league as there are no real standout teams according to the season preview as anyone of the top seven are the main competitors going for promotion. Here I go!! B.W.G
San Marino Calcio - Serie D/D Mid-Season Update 2018/19 Fixtures League Table Manager's Thoughts So far so good,we were predicted a top half finish,I wanted to challenge for a promotion playoff spot and boy are we are doing that.As you can see it is a very close league with only five points separating the top five but we just about hold top spot,no real complaints about the points dropped as were either out played or it was even throughout the game. Also enjoying a nice mini cup run in the Serie D cup,the next round sees us face Bari who top the league so it should be a cracker.Hopefully we can maintain this form for a spot to meet my expectations. On a side note,my finances are absolutely terrible in which my board as already had to make a injection and we are already back in the red,I'm having to be real strict with this issue so any player unhappy or complaining about lack of football is immediately gone. This is a bit of a risk of what I am doing but I need to keep the finances as good as possible as I want my new contract which expires the end of the season. noikeee
Henry Santini felt he had enough of being a football manager. Being bullied by Zinedine Zidane at Cannes was mentally taxing. La Tour d'Auvergne de Rennes was a wonderfully sounding name for a football club, but it didn't work out as wonderful on the pitch neither. Henry went back to his hometown in Cannes and grew cynical in unemployment. He questioned his previously unconditional beliefs about the game, and even started criticising managers that bet on youth players. "Experience wins football matches", he started saying. Compulsively, over and over again. To himself, to his TV, as he locked himself in his bedroom watching football 24/7. He had had enough of being a manager, but still couldn't avoid obsessing with the game... This now turned into a full-blown midlife crisis, when he decided that to move on from his life, what he had to do was to travel the world. He made plans to visit everything from Thailand to Madagascar to the Antarctica. Except, life as a manager on the French 5th tier didn't exactly pay off fantastically well so his plan was to hitch-hike there. He finally caught a truck ride, after waiting for 5 hours and nearly being ran over about 57 times in a highway near Cannes, a ride from a slightly overly friendly truck driver, dressed all in leather with a most wonderfully neatly trimmed curled moustache. When this driver informed him that it was not possible to hitch-hike to Madagascar or Antarctica, unless he took a boat instead of a truck, his dreams were shattered again. Either way he proceeded, and this strange truck driver dropped him off in Monaco. So it happened that by happy coincidence this was the weekend of the grand prix. Henry, with all of his lifelong personal finances carefully secured in a massive visible stack of 50 euro bills in his wallet, nearly blew it all away in a ticket to watch it. He was mesmerized by the racing cars and for a moment, forgot football. When the grand prix was over he wanted more, and now where else to go? Well perhaps he could follow the Formula 1 paddock and see where they went? He got a ride from the Ferrari trucks all the way to their base in Maranello, Italy. Once in Maranello, surrounded by Ferrari supercars and after a tour of the Ferrari museum, he did the ultimate midlife crisis act: he bought a testdrive in a Ferrari in the Fiorano racetrack. He needed to feel the adrenaline, to feel alive. Every last penny in his wallet was spent on this. After 5 spectacular laps - well, spectacular to the driver inside the cockipt; the onlookers were very amused by how slow and off the racing line this all looked -, disaster struck! He smashed the wall entering the pits. A brand new Ferrari 488, totally ruined. And the bill on Henry. He burst into tears, suddenly realized he was now broke and could not even afford dinner had he not crashed, nevermind the repairs of this very expensive supercar. - Mama mia! My vehicle-o!, said the test track director, in suspiciously stereotypically Italian-accent-charged English, and why the hell is this conversation even in English in first place. What-a happened-o? - I crashed it.... I'm such an idiot... I can't pay it... can't even pay dinner tonight nevermind the car..., sobbed Henry. - Do not-a worry! We'll figure something out-a! This happens all da time here in Fiorano with stupid-a driveros. What do you do for a living? - I'm a football manager... or used to be. - Wow! What a coincidence! I'm also the chairman of nearby club Modena FC 2018! This was big club but we got bankrupt, just like you now, ha-ha, and just started over again. This is what we do in Italy, you see. Debt? No matter. Perhaps you can start over again too. And we could use a manager! You could pay your debts if you work for our club. Henry was ecstatic. What were the odds that he would meet a football chairman right at this moment? It was barely reality. It's almost as if he was living in a fictional world in a terrible cheesy narrative to find a way to place him at a club. The next day he walked into the club with a massive grin on his face, armed with tracksuit, chalkboard, 3 books on tactics, and a Ferrari hat just because he thought it looked cool. Then he was told to throw all that crap away, and was given an uniform and a broom. His new job was to mop the floor. For the next 20 years, at least. And until the debt was paid, every penny of his salary would go to Ferrari. Not all was bad though. He was given a matress in a shady basement to sleep in, and fed leftover pizza. And who knows, maybe one day he'd actually get a chance to manage the club. But probably not any time soon.

MarcxD
It's impolite to stare. Profile Nobody knows where he came from but to them he was simply known as Vittorio Emanuele, like certain Italian kings in the past. Some say he even looked a bit like the last king with that name... They came from the noble family of Savoy. He walked in the club with that same name and said it was his birthright to manage the team. Somehow they agreed. Perhaps because of his visions of glorious football and trophies. The threats of violence may have helped.

B.W.G
San Marino Calcio - Serie D/D Youth Intake 2018/19 The Hot Prospects Andrea Pasolini A lot of room for improvement which is always a good thing, has fair bit of pace.I like his determined stat as well as his personality.Regarded as my fifth best right winger but will probably be in the top three this time next year. Sergio Pellizzari Well damn me,I have a striker who has a finishing rating in the double figures, has plenty of pace and acceleration and can play poacher.Sixth best striker at the moment which doesn't mean anything when my current second best is rated at 2*. Nicola Valli With regards to ability,he is the star of the candidates but I hate his personality and I hate his determination stat. With ability alone he could probably play in the division above,I wouldn't be surprised to see San Marino cap him by the end of the year.Need to figure out how to improve his determination and see if his personality can change. Antimo Sinigaglia Has a good amount of room for improvement,I like his personality, bravery and work rate,I feel there is less pressure on him to improve quickly as he is the eighth best centre back at the club. Can also cover either fullback position which is an additional bonus. Roberto Stefanelli Probably going to move him to the first team straight off as he is my third best keeper in the team (bye bye to my now fourth choice!),probably won't be long before his my number two as the is 0.5* difference between the two. Federico Fabbri His versatility in being able to play either full back role is key for me as I am severely lacking in that area as we have four players which includes Sinigaglia as well.Good team player with a decent personality does need to improve a lot in the technical side of things but I think he should be able to make it in Serie C in the future if he reaches his potential. Deisler26
2017/18 Half-way Report Well, it's not by a large margin, but we seem to be working out tactically this season. I think because of the relegation, we have better players than most of Serie D. Third on goals scored and second on goals conceded. Our league results show a good defensive side which is nice. 7 of the 12 goals conceded came in 3 games, which isn't bad. The sole defeat came from THREE free kicks scored in one game. smp20
Like Father, Like Son: Pulis' Illigitimate Italian Lovechild It was the summer of 1984 and a 26-year old Tony Pulis, in the midst of a "high profile" move from Bristol Rovers to Newport County, was on a holiday disguised as a coaching observation in Southern Italy. He dallied with the locals and unknown to him 9 months later he would father an illegitimate lovechild. Meet Antonio Pulisio Half Italian, half Welsh. He knew who his father was, but Pulis Senior has always denied paternity. Despite this, Antonio idolized his estranged father and followed in his footsteps. He attained his UEFA A Licence recently and has enjoyed a career as a no-nonsense right back in the Italian lower leagues, never scoring a goal. He's studied his father extremely closely, learning Welsh and English and attending many sessions in England before being thrown out for trespassing. He doesn't stick to the rules. But he will impress his father. That's his aim. The Club - AC Locri 1909 Situated in the 'Boot' of Italy and possessing a beautiful clay pitch is Pulisio's hometown club Locri. They've taken a punt on him and there will be plenty of punting here on in. <3 <3 <3 clay pitch. Low bounce, long ball. Think Tony Pulis, meeting John Beck's sand pitch. Lovely. Locri have been up in Serie D before but not in nearly two decades and have achieved two promotions in 3 season to get back up there. We're predicted to struggle. After studying Pulisball for a many-a-year, Antonio has replicated the following. Also training, sport science and data analysis = big tick. Youth facilities and development = big HELL NO. We will try to build a team of monsters. I'm doing it for you, Dad!

Bari were a formidable force in the new year and went on to win the title easily. Crosses, crosses everywhere! Correnti was on fire, unfortunately Palermo aren't entertaining my enquiries for a permanent transfer. Lost a fair bit over the season but this is before any potential new sponsorship deals. Deisler26
2019 Youth Intake FULL INTAKE OVERVIEW The first intake of this (hopefully) long and glorious career. We got a decent couple of midfielders through and a defender, but we'll see how the rest pan out. I'll be focusing on 3* prospects and up -------------------------------------------------- Key Prospects DM/MRC Giuseppe Pandolfi DRLC Alfonso Chimenti M/AMC Omar Caroli How far will YOUR youth go: 2019? Just how local are my intakes? We have poor facilities, but are we getting the cream of local youth? We only had 3 players who weren't born in the local town! A triumph for us! YP4 Simone Amaducci was born in Savignano sul Rubicone, a small town just 6.6km down the road. So, we're still in the local area YP5 Francesco Stella was born in Borghi, a mere 12km away. Still a local boy at heart though YP6 Christian Cicala was born in Sala di Cesenatico, a monsterous 15km away! WOW! Much distance! So far! The question is, we have no money for any upgrades, but in trying to create a fully local team, I may concentrate on the Junior Coaching and leave the Youth Recruitment til last. B.W.G
San Marino Calcio - Serie D/D End of Season - 2018/19 Transfers In - Players Released Only bought three in all on free transfers as we were lacking quality in the team, the three players who were released were not good enough and were not earning their wages so off they went into obscurity. Two have retired, the other is still looking for work, frauds for footballers. Fixtures 1 - Fixtures 2 Competitions Serie D What a brilliant start to my career at San Marino Calcio, promotion and the league title to boot,I knew it was going to be close at the half-way point but we made it seem closer than it actually was as we drew the last two games. The promotion playoff game was one of those games which needed to be settle by penalties as both teams went at it,I'm just glad we held our nerve when needed to.Was also a surprise in the playoffs as Milano City beat Bari! Serie D Cup - Winners Fairly straight forward route as the only major teams we beat were Bari and Reggio Audace en-route to the final. Was surprised to see Messina in the final as they beat Cesena in the other semi-final (you'll see later why I was surprised!).The final as you can see was a giant case of poor finishing, don't honestly know who was worse us or Messina as we scored their goal!We should of won in normal time but it wasn't to be,thankfully my players managed to win on penalties otherwise I would have been ******! Italian Serie D - Poule Scudetto - Group Stages At least we won a game, sadly though three points wasn't enough to see us through to the semi's as a second placed team in another group got four points.Comfortable victory against Folgore Caratese. As for the Cesena game,we lost quite badly but it's not really surprising as they did this in their league... They lost twice all season! Awards and Stats Overall Best XI Awards - Stats - Team of the Season Manager's Thoughts Very successful season,I am ecstatic with winning a double. The club has gone pro which will only help with the development of the players in the long term.Finances are terrible so it will be a case of the free transfer market and youth players as I do have a much better wage budget for the new season, one of sponsors is also up so hopefully we will get more than the £36k a year we currently get.Aim for next season is simple....survival. ToMexico!!
Pre-Season 2019/20 First thing during the close season was to bring in some new staff, the ones we had were awful. A couple of familiar names in there, Bianchi and Pepe. Next up was to build a squad capable of staying up in Serie C/C. Basically a whole new first team in for no outlay despite having a transfer budget of over 100k to spend. We're still 11k p/w under our wage budget. We had an indifferent pre-season starting slowly before a good cup win then being drawn against Parma We then played a lot of friendlies against lower league opposition but did beat parent club Benevento. We did get 3 red cards in pre-season too which is worrying. However we're still predicted to finish bottom. Some strong clubs in here, Salernitana having been relegated from Serie B, Bari who won our division last season, Catania, Reggina and so on...
