DavidBeckham
August - December 2026/2027Ā - MiddlesbroughĀ F.C. League We had a solid half of the season and currently sit in 5th position on 39 points. The lads are not getting carried away as we fully expect Liverpool and Spurs to find their form in the second half of the campaign.Ā Carabao CupĀ Ā The draw has been unkind to us again as we drew Chelsea in the third round. The boys kept up their excellent record in penalty shootouts as we progressed all the way to the Semis, where Scholesy faces an almost impossible task against his old club.Ā Europa League The boys simply love the Europa League group stages as we progressed comfortably with a perfect record again. Dynamo Kyiv awaits us in the 1st Knockout Round.Ā Top Player Mitrovic has been declining since he turned 32 and Pietro assumed the mantle superblyĀ by bagging 16 goals in 18 starts thus far. The downside to his good form is that he has been attracting major transfer interests from the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Will we lose him soon? DavidBeckham
January Transfers You simply cannot turn down the opportunity to sign a giant like Rob (for a mere 8.25 million pounds) who has decent technique and unbelievable determination to succeed. He replaces the outgoing Douglas Luiz, who moaned for a move after less than half a season at the club and we sold him for a healthy 4.75 million pounds profit.Ā Ā Pellegri has been fantastic for us upfront but the declining Mitrovic is the only decent cover we have behind the Italian. Mitrovic's fellow countryman (Dejan Joveljic) was signed on loan from Bayern to give Scholesy more striking options.Ā The SerbianĀ has the same skill set as Mitrovic but he is 5 years younger and we have high hopes that he can add goals to our team in the second half of our campaign.Ā Ā Ā
DavidBeckham
Carabao Cup FinalĀ 2026/2027Ā - MiddlesbroughĀ F.C. What a run-upĀ it has been to the Carabao Cup Final!Ā We drew a very strong Chelsea side in the 3rd Round but the lads kept up their good record in penalty shootouts to eliminate the Blues. We needed another penalty shootout to beat Southampton in the 4th round before a Stipek double helped us reach the semis at the expense of Derby. The boys came of age in the semi-finals against Scholesy's beloved Man United as two 1-0 wins helped us reach the final against the lesser Manchester outfit. Man City took the lead early in the second half after a goalless first half where we were arguably the better side. It came from our corner-kick routine and Man City countered swiftly after we lost the ball in their area. Our keeper should have done better at the near post. 1-0 City.Ā We went two goals down after the usually dependent Wesley Hoedt conceded a penalty. What was our keeper doing?!Ā 2-0 City. Ā Scholesy brought off both of our wide players after City's opening goal and it finally paid off in the 77th minute when both subs combined to pull a goal back for us. Game on. 2-1 Boro. The boys kept working and it finally paid off when we were awarded a penalty in the last minute of regular time. Scholesy brought on Mitrovic as our third sub ten minutes ago and he smashed the ball past City's keeper with conviction. Could this be our year?Ā 2-2 Boro. City went down to ten men in extra time after their winger got injured with no available subs left. We continued to play on the counter as City still has some very special players left on the pitch. With 1 minute and a bit of extra-time left to play, Mitrovic ghosted into the near post area to smash the ball into the bottom corner after a superb counter-attack. What a performance off the bench from Mitrovic!Ā 2-3 Boro. Scholesy wins his first piece of silverware! \o/ And there are some nice words from an old friend :**) What a final. Scholesy looking at his medal like..Ā Ā Ā

DavidBeckham
Season Review 2026/2027Ā - MiddlesbroughĀ F.C. League We managed to keep our place in the top 6 and finished in 5th position on 75 points, 1 point more than last season's total. The top 4 is a tough nut to crack but we will keep trying! Carabao Cup Scholesy finally won his first piece of silverware as a manager! It was a tough run facing the likes of Chelsea, United and City but the lads achieved the impossible by liftingĀ the Carabao Cup \o/ FA Cup We had tough luck with the FA Cup draws again and faced Spurs and Liverpool in the 4th and 5th rounds. The boys did well to eliminate Spurs with a Mitrovic penalty but were up against it in the next round when we lost both of our right-backs to injury. Dael Fry had to deputise at right-back and we inevitably lost to an extra-time winner at Dael's back post.Ā Europa LeagueĀ Superb work by the lads again in the group stages but we fell at the quarter-final stage after we lost Dael Fry to injury in the 1st leg. As a result, we lost 1-3 away in Germany and that was too much for usĀ to overturn in the second leg.Ā Top 11 We went into the campaign with very much the same squad this campaign and the lads went a step further to bag Scholesy's first ever competition win :**) Top 3 Players He's one of our own! He's one of our owwwwwn! Oh Dael Fry! He's one of our own! You cannot put Dael's importance to the team into words and our worst results always happen when he's unavailable. I'm so glad that he is the only one who has been here since the start and we sawĀ another stellar campaign from our academy graduate! The veteran left-back is still performing consistently for usĀ and his performance level has not dropped despite him turning 31 this year. He managed an impressive 12 assists and 2 goals after another solid season of football under his belt.Ā Pellegri took Mitrovic's place in the starting 11 this campaign and we have not missed the Serbian's presence since. The Italian managed 28 goals and 8 assists in a productive campaign and this has attracted the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Dortmund, Spurs & Milan. We face a tough fight keeping our talisman in the upcoming summer Ā
DavidBeckham
Summer Transfers 2027/2028 We endured another frustrating summer as the big six circled around our top players. Our first-choice right-back was unsettled by a bid from Chelsea which was way below his value. As a result, he put in a transfer request and we sold him to a club below us (Fulham) when Chelsea withdrew their interest eventually. Bloody Blues. A couple of players were also brought in to plug the gaps left behind by the departing Hoedt and Mitrovic.Ā Key Signings Jordan Torunarigha Jordan came in for a short stint a couple of years ago but left after half a season in search of Champions League football. He was earmarked as Hoedt's successor when we first signed him. When we decided against renewing Hoedt's contract (he is turning 33), Jordan was open to a move back to Riverside Stadium and Scholesy snapped him up immediately for a mere 8 million pounds.Ā Edwin Michel We found our number one for the next fifteen years! Michel is a fantastic shot-stopper at a tender age of 19 and if he can be more commanding in the box and improve on his handling, it's only a matter of time before he gets the number one shirt.Ā David Gautier David came in to replace our outgoing first-choice right-back for a huge fee but he is veryĀ quick and makes sensible decisions on the field. If the French speedsterĀ can improve a little on his positioning, he can grow into a top wing-back for us \o/

DavidBeckham
Weston McKennie - The Unlikely Goalscorer from Midfield Our very own Captain America (he's the captain of the USA football team!) has been a pleasant surprise for Scholesy playing in that Box To Box Midfielder role. Despite not being the best finisher, he has bagged an impressive 10 goals and 5 assists and we still have 2-3 months of the season to go. DavidBeckham
Season Review 2027/2028Ā - MiddlesbroughĀ F.C. League We finally broke into the top 4!! It's quite incredible when we went into the new campaign with a squad of similar quality as last season's and we were tipped by the media to finish below the top 6. The players performedĀ to their absolute best and we finished in 4th position on 82 points, 7 points higher than last season's total.Ā Champions League football at the Riverside Stadium next season! We keep improving \o/ Carabao Cup We drew two top 6 sides early againĀ and our second string eventually came undone in the quarter-finals in a 0-1 defeat against Spurs.Ā FA Cup I'm sick of complaining about the cup draws but how can you keep quiet when we drew Chelsea and Arsenal in the opening two rounds? The lads did Scholesy so proud by eliminating the London giants but we eventually got knocked out in the semi finals against Man United by a David Alaba free-kick in extra-time. Great effortĀ by the lads in the FA Cup this seasonĀ Ā Europa LeagueĀ Scholesy is soĀ gutted that he failed to lift his second trophy in as many seasons. The boys finished on 18 points again in the group stages and defied all odds to reach the final at Wembley to face the mighty Dortmund (they won the Bundesliga last season). We were the better side inĀ the final too with more shots but fell to a disappointing goal from a poorly-defended Dortmund throw-in. It has been a really positive season but we struggled to cheer ourselves up after ending the campaign on such a low note Top 11 This squad had no right to finish fourth and reach theĀ Europa LeagueĀ final but they did it after losing blood, sweat and tears on the pitch.Ā Top 3 Players Willem established himself as our first-choice right winger this campaign and managed a healthy 15 goals and 7 assists in 44 starts. That's an average of 1 goal contributionĀ in 2 games from the wing and that's an incredible piece of business by Scholesy after he signedĀ him on a free transfer in 2026.Ā Ā Ā Ā Weston is our biggest piece of mystery thisĀ season after he grew intoĀ a goalscorer from midfield, bagging an impressive 12 goals and 9 assists in the Box To Box Midfielder role. Fantastic season by our very own Captain America \o/Ā That Attribute Analysis graph looks terrible but Scholesy's godsonĀ has had a terrific season forĀ Boro, bagging 16 goals and 8 assists from the left wingĀ with many of them points-saving ones. We picked him up for a mere 3.6 million pounds in 2023 and he has been an absolute bargain for us. Angelic Angel is Scholesy's player of the season! DavidBeckham
Summer Transfers 2028/2029 Having securedĀ Champions League football for the campaign ahead, ScholesyĀ thought that he wouldĀ be shopping for players of the same quality as the big 6. To his dismay, the players who were willing to join us are still at the level below the big 6 and we struggled to improve the quality of our squad yet again. Players were brought in reluctantly to replace the ageing trio in a very underwhelming summer transfer window.Ā Ā Ā Key Signings Francisco Javier Cuevas It's incredibly hard to find quality left-backs on the market and Francisco was the best we could bring in. The Spanish left-back always makes the right decisions on the pitch but is not the fittest of players. If he can steer clear of injuries,Ā I'm sure he will be a useful addition to the squad. Matt Spencer Spencer was brought in to replace the China-bound Diop and the Englishman is a solid center-back who is very good in the air. However, he lacks bravery and composure in his game and we will have to wait toĀ see if he is good enough for Champions League football.Ā Ā Jorge Henrique Jorge is by far our most exciting signing this summer. The BrazilianĀ reminds Scholesy ofĀ Kante and is incredibly quick for a central midfield player. He will provide some much needed bite in the spine of our team.Ā Edited July 12, 2019 by DavidBeckham

DavidBeckham
Season Review 2028/2029Ā - MiddlesbroughĀ F.C. League We are absolutely delighted to secure Champions League football for a second consecutive season despite being tipped by the media to finish only 7th. Scholesy managed to improveĀ onĀ last season's finish and points total in another consistent campaign by the lads. We keep progressing \o/ Carabao Cup Scholesy liftedĀ his second ever piece of silverware at Middlesbrough! We faced two of the toughest teams which we could've gotten in Chelsea and Spurs but our second string played out of their skins and managed to progress against all odds. Our luck with the cup draws improved and we faced non-top six sides in the quarters, semis and final. The boys capitalizedĀ and emerged as Carabao Cup Champions for the second time in three years! FA Cup We managed to eliminate the sides which we were expected to beat but the lads eventually came undone against a very strong Spurs side in the 6th round. UEFA Champions League The boys performed admirably in their first ever season in Europe's top competition as we finished third in the group stages with a respectable nine points.Ā Europa League We were eliminated in the quarter-finals after an incredible comeback byĀ Olympique Lyonnais in the second leg. Scholesy took full blame for the exit as he opted to field our second choice lineup in the middle of a crazy run of fixtures. We should still be good enough to hold on to a 2-0 first leg lead though Ā Top 11 We went into the new season with a very similar looking squad as last season's and the lads performed consistently at a high level in a very productive campaign.Ā Top 3 Players The Fans' Player of the Season had another productive campaign with 23 goals and 6 assists and we would be way down the table without our talisman upfront. You simply cannot ignore the fans' opinion and the Italian hotshot takes his place in Scholesy's top 3 players of the season. Spencer has slotted seamlessly into our central defence when he has been called upon in his first ever campaign at the Riverside Stadium. The new signing has developed a decent partnership with club captain Dael Fry and we are all hoping that he can replace the club legend when he retires eventuallyĀ :**) Angel just keeps improving and he ended the campaign with 13 goals and an incredible 20 assists in all competitions. He is also the leading provider in the Premier League with 17 assists. With theĀ highest number of goal contributions at the club, Gomes isĀ by far Scholesy's player of the season \o/

DavidBeckham
Summer Transfers 2029/2030 It has been another summer of underwhelming signings as we signed 4Ā on permanent deals to plug the gaps left behind by departing players. As all signings are defensive reinforcements, we are going to have to relyĀ on familiarity in attack to hopefully improve our goals total this campaign.Ā Key Signings Iguacu The Brazilian right-back came in on loan lastĀ campaign and he has taken his time to masterĀ English and settleĀ into the squad. Iguacu is incredibly determined to succeed atĀ the highest level and at only 20, he has the potential to grow into one of the best full-backs in world football. Fantastic bargainĀ at 20 million pounds.Ā Martin Cisar To be very honest, we still have reservations about Martin's ability on the ball but we had to bring a center-back in to replace the ageingĀ McCrorie. Despite not having the best first touch and passing ability, he is immense physically and has great positional senseĀ on the pitch. He will provide valuable backup in ourĀ central defense this season. Jordi We weren't actively looking for a left-back until Jordi emerged as a possible option during the transfer window. The Spaniard knows the league well asĀ he had been playing at Chelsea for the last three years. Even though we have spent big money on the boy, JordiĀ is very well-roundedĀ in his game and he will get lots of game time at left-back for us in the next few years \o/

DavidBeckham
Season Review 2029/2030Ā - MiddlesbroughĀ F.C. League Against all odds, we managed to secure Champions League football for a third consecutive season after finishing 3rd behind Man United and Arsenal. With our board tightening theĀ purse strings, we are 7th in the salary per annum table and only had a net transfer spend of 6.89 million pounds. We are struggling to keep up with the big six in the transfer market but we will strive for improvement again next campaign.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Carabao Cup Having won the competition twice and with our board not deeming itĀ as an important one, Scholesy decided to fieldĀ our second eleven throughout the competition and we eventually fell to a disappointing 0-1 defeat away at Palace. FA Cup We drew the big teams quite early in the competition again and the lads did fantastically well to beat Chelsea away before falling to two wonder goals in a 0-2 defeat against Man City in the 6th round. Story of our lives.Ā UEFA Champions League We are semi-finalists in only Scholesy's second season in the Champions League with Boro! The boys topped our group impressively ahead of the mighty PSG before going on an unbelievable run to the semis, beating another giant (Real Madrid) 6-0 on aggregate.Ā The run came to an abrupt end at Old TraffordĀ when we lost on away goals to this screamer. How cruel Top 11 We went into the season with a stronger backline and a weaker attack and it showed in our results. The lads finished with the least goals conceded in the league but were only 7th best in terms of goals scored. Nevertheless, it had been another season of over-achievement with another year of Champions League Football bagged and we still can't quite believe we areĀ one of the top 4 teams in Europe \o/Ā Top 3 Players It is sad to see the club legend declining in ability but the 32-year-old is still very capable on the pitch, marshaling our backline superbly and scoring 6 league goals at the other end. We will do everything we can to make sure he ends his career at the Riverside Stadium. Pietro led the line superbly throughout the campaign and finished the season with 33 goals and 6 assists in 51 starts. WithĀ a couple of departures and no new additions in our attack, the Italian stepped up and produced the goods in his best season for us thus far.Ā Just look at the awards. DavidBeckham
Summer Transfers 2030/2031 What a disastrous summer it turned out to be in the end We lost our beloved number one keeper to Barcelona after they agreed to pay his 71 million pounds release clause. 71 f****** million pounds for a keeperĀ Ā How rich can they be? Key Signings Didier Alves We scrambled for a replacement in the remaining hours of the window and it was no surprise to see us sign Michel's successorĀ from the club he was heading to. No clubs were willing to release decent keepers so late in the window and we had no choice but to sign Didier to mendĀ the gaping hole in our squad. Matias Iturrieta We have two center-backs who are in their thirties and it was vital to replace at least one of them in this summer transfer window. Matias was brought in for 10.5 million poundsĀ to replace the homesick Torunarigha and the towering Argentinian can grow into a decent Premier League center-back for us in the next few years.Ā Ā Matthias Christiaens Scholesy wanted a right-sided wide player who can cross the ball well to improve our attacking transitions and Matthias was the only available playerĀ who could fit the billĀ with a transfer fee below 50 million pounds. We could have overpaid for the Belgian but Scholesy wanted his own Becks badly and Matthias will hopefully add a new dimension to our attacking play this campaign.

We are certainly trying our best to upgrade our starting 11 but the loss of our number one keeper knocked us back a little this seasonĀ
DavidBeckham
January Transfers We finally found Captain America (Weston McKennie)'s replacement! The Spaniard became available for a mere 13.75 million pounds and we snapped him up immediately. The physical beastĀ has terrific Technique, Determination and Vision for his age and with room for improvement, he can grow to be our Box To Box Midfielder for the next ten years at the Riverside Stadium. Nicolas had a fantastic campaign for us when he came in on loan 9 years ago and we have been tracking his development at PSG closely since. He finally became available for loan again in January and we wasted no time to bring him back home \o/
