What Leagues are you running on FM19

Recommended Posts

I always run a large database with almost every european league as well as brazil, argentina, china, US and a couple of others

I have a 7 yr old laptop and it's 1 star but not had too many issues previously. I like to have as much loaded as I can

I try to keep it around 3 star - luckily there seems to have been a speed increase from FM17 -> 18 -> 19. Currently managing Athletic Bilbao and I've got a small database, around 38,000 players with all the top 10 European leagues loaded, and the 2nd and 3rd divisions of Spain and 2nd, 3rd and 4th divisions in France.

Running a old dual core J Pentium with 8GB. I run about 10-15 nations with large databse. Its only one star but I couldn't play with less I like a good journeyman save. Currently 3rd season into my Tromso save and just done the double. So job done and I'll move on now.

do you think its worth having a large database. most players i will never buy and the game will be populated with newgens in the future.

I think entirely depends on what sort of game you want. If you feel happy don't go with a large database. I like a large one as I often end up bouncing between small to medium to large clubs so like the variety of players.

Depends:

- Typical "rise to the top of the English Ladder": all UK leagues + Ireland, with a database that also includes all UK+Ireland players (from the "region" drop down menu choose GB & Ireland and tick all the boxes).

- European team/eastern european (no top ones like Man U, Real etc.), I generally load all the leagues of the country I'm playing in, plus the "big 5" (Italy, England, France, Germany, Spain).

- Top team challenge (Juventus, Milan, Man U, Real etc.): "Big 5" countries (max to the third level of the competition), Argentina, Brazil and some other european ones to keep in line with a wider and more realistic competition (Russia, Belgium, Greece, Turkey and the like)

I run almost every league. About 80% of which In full detail and the others in view only. I use a custom database with players loaded from leagues outside of the ones you can choose too.

This usually leaves me with about 125,000 players loaded and running the game on half a star, but for some reason the game is still super smooth and I never have any delays or long processing times. It still runs for me the exact same as when I’ve loaded a 5 star game.

I usually run the whole of Europe along with Australia and USA. I just started a new save to get the German Third and I'm going to run everything. 355k players.

I doubt it'll make much difference from my normal setup, but I get a fuller world, and that is what I look for. I get an estimated game speed of half a star. Depending on what happens I can get through a week fast enough for me.

I suspect what really makes the difference to processing time is changing the detail level to full for everything. I currently enable full detail for most international matches (because I love to look at how FM simulates the national game), continental competitions and a few selected leagues (the league I'm managing in and a nearby leagues for scouting purposes).

I just like it all as fully expanded as I can get it. If I get through ten seasons I'll be happy.

  • 8 months later...

I take 15 leagues (MLS, Belgium first 3, Germany 1&2, England 1&2, France 1&2, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Turkey, Spain.

Also 40 leagues with view only.

I don't have Latvia, Azerbeidjan, Armenia, Lithiuana, Estonia, Moldava , should I start over again and give those countries a league too? and put them with view-only leagues, or isn't it really a missing-out to don't have those countries loaded? I play mainly in Belgium
