Kung
So generally in my 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-2-2-1 i get goals from crosses but are leaking as much as well.i use gegenpress and vert tiki taka as general templates I use FB-S on both sides, is it generally a better idea to defend narrow or wide to avoid those pesky crosses to the box to a player that usually scores When am away team usually the cross comes from a overlapping wingback as well, any helpful tip to avoid it? Mitja
we all do, that's how most goals are scored in current ME. defending wider and higher in theory should prevent wingers and FBs from receiving the ball more than deeper and narrower.

Vali184
I'm on the opposite side. I can't score goals, although I'm doing alright in the EFL Championship for now. 90% of cross attempts are blocked by opposition's fullback and about the same percentage of shots from inside the box are blocked. I have no problems with 1vs1 chances, both my strikers finish them quite well, but I have stopped playing for now. Through balls are practically non-existent, the so called 'through balls' are just passes over the opposition's defense. I don't see many ground-level through balls. I'm thinking of going back to my FM18 save. At least in that me, there is some variety. I get that the game is faster and runs smoother for most of the people, including me, but the state of the current ME is terrible! Now quote me and say 'It's your tactics.'! Dutchy1983
Lots of people not happy with the lack of creativity and through balls, and they all cop the 'check your tactics' answer!
