ah the greatest tactic ever that championship manager has ever seen

reminds me off a old manchester utd tactic

roy keane sitting back scholes running riot through the midfield to pop up and score

eh sounds like youre a touch ****ed off there Mr Lambie's Lovechild ????

bottom line is , its a tactic that anyone can use , so its not really a cheat (quotes "people say it is")cause a cheat is something that you use to get the better of others without them having a chance , correct????

ow how to counter it(its easy )_Partick Thistle 2 - 3 Forfar_

"I will love it , LOVE IT , if we beat them" declared Boss Turps in a pre match interview, echoing the Keegan speech of many years before, but perhaps in a self effacing parody to lull the Jags into a false sense of security.I have no words to describe my feelings on this game or the result. I guess this will have to do

Theres no such thing as a cheat tactic, Bods just hurting cos he lost, and he knows his big, I'm gonna domimate Scotland and move to England plan is lying in the gutter. If yer team is good enough, then it will win over the piece.

To be fair to you mate, youre adding 2 and 2 and getting 35-8. Theres been a few comments made by Rosco over the years about how some people "only play to win" and get bored and wander off when things dont go their way when they should be playing for the fun of it, the banter, the socialising, the clan. Id be lying if i said i wasnt sitting here tonight thinking "Whit a hypocritical *******. Whits the point in managing a team properly, developing yer own tactics and playing in the spirit of the game when the man whos been extoling these virtues for all this time turns round and says "**** that, i fancy winning this thing, lets go use a few cheats i found on the forums."

Its excusable for someone thats mibbe only been playing a few months, but when Rosco's sitting there giving it "I only did it to wind you up Bod, i only used it 30 minutes" , and ive checked his tactics every 10 minutes to see its no moved at all till right at the end, i have to ask myself "Why bother. Why not just download every tactic from T&T , every player from GPG, forget any kind of rules, and just play to win".

I dunno. I cannae play like that. I just dont have that "Killer Instinct", that overwhelming need to win. If id been done over 8-0 with a wondertactic Rosco had developed, id have shook hands, got on wi it, and come back mair determined than ever. All i can think about now is "Why Bother". After the highs of the last 36 hours, this is pretty much as low as it gets.

And i cannae for the life of me remember where Fiona got mentioned last night Rosco. And i dont think ill be mentioning her here again. Shes no relevant to the clan mate, and for the next 6 weeks, neither am I. icon_wink.gif

Call it whitever you want Rosco. Its a holiday. Think of it as doing whit Strachan did, taking time off, recharging the batteries, and then when, or if, he feels like coming back, he will put forward his CV to prospective employers. Either way, itll be 6 weeks afore anything else happens here. Meantime, in homage tae yer "self developed 4-4-2" , ive left the assistant playing that self same tactic (though i gave it a Spanish name to give it some continental flavour), wi a blank squad so he can pick who he wants.

Stewart a content and happy man

Never mind all that SPL, killer instinct its just not fair political mumbo jumbo, Stewart is a very happy man with the Blue Brazil.

Cowdenbeath sit at the top end of Division 3 and are ticking over quiet nicely, with results more or less going in favour of the Blue Brazil.

The player, Menalaws excluded, are performing really well and some above there ability to keep them in with a far crack at promotion into the 2nd. Menalaws however has been a huge disappointment since his move from Queens Park, a decent two or three games then his form has steadily fallen and he has also failed to react to any criticism from manager Stewart or the fans.

A number of bids have been placed to help strengthen the squad for the league run in and weakness in the squad have be identified, just finding the right player at the right price is proving to be difficult for Stewart.

Arbroath A 0-1

A solid performance that seen our goalie Lee Camp (M.O.M) shine in goal and Ben Andrews get the all important goal to get the points. We had three injuries that seen Williams, Logan and Elliot being subbed but the lads coming on gave a good account of them selves and made sure the points were ours. Arbroath had a few good chances but by the looks of it there Manager is not a happy bunny.

Challenge Cup Final

V Clyde 0-2

A disappointing Final that seen us play like a pub team, players under performed all over the park and the passing was joke. It was a complete contrast to the effort of the last match, Clyde seem to be our bogie team this season. It was sad to loose our chance of a cup.

M.O.M Stewart Robertson

Raith Rovers A 1-1[/b]

This was a tough encounter with Eddie Logan scoring for the Diamonds to give us the point. David O’Brian was outstanding and rightly got the (M.O.M) award, although Jose Carlos would have been a very close second and has been a great player since signing.

Clyde H 0-1

A game we totally dominated and had no fewer then 15 attempts on goal with seven on target but Clyde are our bogie team so it was no surprise that it was like a brick wall in front of there goal. They had one shot and scored out of nothing when Williams just stopped and stood. The team played well with all three subs coming on and performing with eight shots on goal. Jose Carlos was injured in the 14th minute and we hope its not serious.

St. Johnstone H 3-0

We were back to our best with an impressive three goal victory. Elliot (M.O.M) scored two and Gregg Watson scored the other. Scott Mclean got a run out despite being the forgotten man and played well as he tries to get a move away from the club that has seen him slip down the pecking order. Despite his tremendous work when at Stirling Albion with the current manager, this player once set the 3rd and 2nd division alight with his goals and the club would welcome an offer for him.

Stenhousemuir A 4-1

Our worst performance this season, Elliot, Jaconelli, Logan and O’Brian and the rest deserved the score line, the manager would only say he would agree with the pundits that some players deserved their 4 or 5 mark on performance. Our only bright point was Ruisinho scoring and getting back to fitness from the bench.

East Stirling H 2-0

Eddie Logan (M.O.M) and O’Brian made up for the last match by actually playing and scoring both goals. Barry Elliot was taught that even with his scoring record he can be dropped to the bench if his form dips. A good three points to keep us at the top end of the table.

Jags announce search for new manager

Partick Thistle FC today announced they would begin the search for a new manager, after current incumbent Stevie McGuinness announced his retirement from Football Management for the foreseeable future. The Thistle board thanked McGuinness for all his efforts of the last few years, the development of the youth setup, the winning of Thistle's first ever league championship, their excellent champions league setup, and the overall development of the club. McGuinness in turn thanked the club for putting their faith in him despite limited managerial experience, and wished his replacement all the very best for the future.

When asked "How long do you plan on taking this sabbatical from management for" , McGuinness shook his head and said "Depends on FM05's release date. So probably 2007".

(So Long Lads, and thanks for the Banter)

Our target before the January transfer window was quite a simple one - to stay alive in the Division. Of course, there is nothing to say that the new players coming in will change anything, but I have to think they can't be any worse than the utter crud we have at the moment.

A home match with promotion pushing Airdrie, with whom we always had tight games at Arbroath, and so the pattern was to continue as Derek Young grabbed the only goal on 24 minutes, and a very crucial three points were bagged.

A huge game away to St Johnstone followed, but the players seemed to have given up the chase as they were impotent in a terrible 2-0 defeat. At home to another promotion pushing team, Stenhousemuir, and for an hour we at least competed, before caving in and going down 2-0, and it was becoming a forelorn hope now.

If the last games had been vital, the next was virtually life or death. Away to East Stirling, and if we lost here, we may as well pack up our bags and head for Division Two. It was a tough, hard fought match, and it took a goal from Noel Hunt, in his last ever game for the club before he made a £200k move to Crewe, to seperate the teams and give us a win that was as valuable as they can be.

League leaders Clyde came to East End Park next, and we feared the worst. Five minutes in though, we won a penalty, which Adam Hardy converted, and ten minutes later the home fans thought they were dreaming as Carl Basker sent us 2-0 ahead. Clyde hit back, but a 50th minute strike for Darren Young sealed the points in a fantastic 3-1 win, and suddenly we had hope once more.

Usually, when you think you have hope, you lose it, but away to Motherwell, the new found confidence in the team was there to see, as Derek Young fired in a hattrick, and another Hardy penalty gave us a great 4-2 win, and we close the gap to safety to just three points.

With the 1st of January arriving, a whole host of new players have arrived at the club, and although the last three games have given us hope, for some of these dud it might just be too late as they find themselves replaced by hopefully better players!

Hmm, I played for about 3 hours last night and perhaps set a new all time clan record with the cracking rate of 1cph (club per hour).

Sacked from ICT for being as pish as the huns.

Appointed manager of Morton as they wanted to win a league and felt getting relegated to div 3 would be their best chance, I done what I could - P2 L2 (humpings at that).

Appointed manager of St.Johnstone (it was them right?). St.Johnstone are without doubt going down so here's looking forward to next season and trying to put together a team that can perhaps stay in D2.

All hail King Nicol.

PETERHEAD'S FORM CONTINUES

Peterhead left for a months break on a high winning all the last sessions matches and set themselves up for a game vs Celtic in the scottish cup when they come back its at home so a full crowd will be expected.Peterhead have managed to open up a 9 point gap at the top of the table and with January here Peterhead look to be in a good position to challenge for the title. Not much news from Balmoor this session except Blackburn snapped up one of my talented kids Mckenzie for nothing as bad managment means they bid when he turned 17 to avoid compensation but having not featured much in the first team it was no big loss.

Here are the session results:-

DUMBARTON 0 PETERHEAD 2

Peterhead started where they left off on monday.A good performance away from home sealed the 3 points Goodman and Defender Watts grabbing a goal each.

PETERHEAD 4 ELGIN CITY 0

Bavidge opened the scoring and for the second game running a defender scored Spedding it was this time but man of the match Robertson stole the show with a superb double to give the Blue Toon 3 easy points.

EAST FIFE 0 PETERHEAD 1

Robertson scored the only goal of the game in a close match Gunn said after the match"This was a close game but Robertson has been a brilliant player this year he dosnt get as much regognition as he should but he deserves it he has worked his socks off."

PETERHEAD 2 MONTROSE 0SCOTTISH CUP 2ND ROUND

Peterhead done really well here against a team a division higher than them with goals from Davis and substitute Sim.Peterhead can now look forward to the mighty Celtic visiting Balmoor next round.

PETERHEAD 3 ALBION 1

Green put the blue toon up early in the match but Albions Mercer drew rovers level but in form Robertson scored to make life a little easier for the blue toon before Goodman made the game safe.

PETERHEAD 3 STRANRAER 0

Harris Goodman and Robertson scored to give Peterhead another 3 points Stranraer didnt look intrested in this one and was lucky the scorline stayed at 3.

BERWICK R 1 PETERHEAD 2

The top 2 clashed in the last game of the session with Peterhead getting the upper hand Robertson scored a well taken double to give the blue toon a nice lead but a Pearman goal made the last 10 mins a bit of a nail bitter for the Peterhead managment team and fans but the long trip was worth it as they went home happy with the points in the bag.

After spending most of the session laughing at Gypo(give me a job)Nicol the biggest laugh had to be some spanish guy who ended up in a chatroom with a load of Scots we tried to be nice in our own scots way but he quickly said "Aidios" icon_biggrin.gif Have a good holiday Turps and ill see you all in a month.

Dunfermline A 1-0

David O’Brian (M.O.M) and Ben Andrews were the only players Manager Robertson would give pass marks for this match. Elliot who is in a cream puff after the manager highlighted his drop in form is still not playing to his full potential, and this will be addressed with some tact over the next few weeks to get him back to his best. Lee Camp was poor in goal getting a media rating of only 4 for this match. The Manager did comment Dunfermline deserved there win and glad to see them push for safety.

Motherwell H 4-0

Motherwell were left with nothing after watching the one player Jose Carlos (M.O.M) destroy them with three goals with Jaconelli scoring the other. Manager Robertson could only comment that Carlos was a joy to watch with his movement and skill. The defence gave a great performance to keep a clean sheet and Barry Elliot looked sharper.

Falkirk A 0-3

Airdrie Dominated this game with Baltacha (M.O.M) directing things from the back line and scoring a great goal. Logan and Dunn scored to take the tally to three and Dunn’s goal was special, probably the best goal Airdrie have scored this season. All three sub’s got a run out and Manager Robertson was pleased the way things went. Lee Camp was also outstanding in goal.

John Fitter has been sidelined for two months with a torn muscle in training and will be missed as he has been our first choice RB this season. icon_frown.gif

Arbroath H 3-0

This match was harder than the score-line suggests, Eddie Logan (M.O.M) scored and was our star player, with Ben Andrews and Elliot right behind him with there goals but Arbroath played well at time and threatened our goal a few times.

Raith Rovers H 3-0

Yet another 3-0 victory with (M.O.M) Sean Williams on the score sheet from defence. Elliot and Carlos killed of Raith’s hopes with there goals and seen us again keep a clean sheet.

Clyde 3-0

A trip to our bogie team, and didn’t it just show. When we play Clyde the whole team under performs Big time. Clyde scored three goals through our normally great Away tactic 442 Def, and even when the manager when to his home 442 Att we could still not score with eight shots on goal. Clyde look to be getting promoted if we cant find a away to beat them.

Manager Robertson was so impressed by Clyde’s forwards Kristof and Alexander that he has succeeded it landing the two with offers accepted. Kristof has been impressive this season and will add more bite to the Airdrie front line with Alexander being one for the future having proved himself in the first already.

See you all in a month and back to Spanish football we go! To all who are off on hols have a great time. icon_biggrin.gif

LoonsLogo.jpg

LOONS NEW SINGLE OUT NOW!....SHAKE RATTLE & ROLL! ...BIG BOYS DONT CRY SHA LA LA LALAL....! icon_biggrin.gif

Yep u heard it the Loons are rockin at the top now sitting deservedly in top place after half of season 4. Amazingly Forfar are now on an 18 game unbeaten run and are simply unstoppable! The Loons success has severely disgruntled at least 1 rival manager but gaffer Turps does not care, win or loose, his small club are on the up and he remains commited to the cause, snubbing bigger clubs and so called managers alike. Playing the Ai in the SPL every week has proved to be an easy challenge but the loons credibilty remains intact where other more childish managers have faltered.

It seems that at least 1 Clan manager could not bear getting humped and has chucked the towel in an epic display of schoolie tantrum proportions. Rumours of any foul play have been totally laffed off and the afore mentioned clown is just a hypocrite considering he used a certain tactic back in his Airdire days. Oh well some cry babies cant take a beating and the tears of a clown are ones of laughter over at Station Park not to mention the rest of Scottish Football.

With Forfar now dominating the upper echelons of Scottish football, gaffer Turps hopes that some other gaffers can raise their game, and teams to the highest level and challenge. Of course not all gaffers are cut out to compete in the top Division, and maybe they just get found out, one things for sure it takes a strong mental character, there is no time for sensitivity when you are playing the big boys. Maybe some more gypo action will see a challenge, as some bigger clubs jobs are available and need 'real' fans to manage them properly. But for now, the Forfar rock and roll machine just keeps on rattling baby, and the trainset is firmly on track. Cyas in a month Loons Fans, keep Rockin!icon_razz.gif
