Arda82
Fun as it sounds, I won't be managing Galatasaray. Sorry. i know you wont. The thing is a league like Turkish league is fun for only Turkish people like me. Cause usually the league is buggy and other team's stats are so bad that its not fair. And there are only 3 good teams that you will know (though there are many other good teams in the league). I never get a league from portugal, france, germany, holland and so on. I always manage spain, england, italy and turkey.
Mike7077
Hmm i was looking forward to sauntering down to tesco at midnight tonight and gettin a copy however some problems have arisen:1: I've broke my foot so i shall not be sauntering anywhere. 2: Because I've broken my foot the people who i worked for, for three weeks have decided to let me go 3: And because of point 2 I have no money lol So if any of you has any idea how i can make 30 quid in the next 13 hours i would be very grateful.... Is it legal for them to do that to you?

CaptainPlanet
Having said that, Fenerbahce are two places below Galatasaray as it stands. And Hull are how many places above Spurs atm? I've watched Fener and Gala both playing this season, and Fener have been playing better football. It might be just down to the coach (just like Spurs), and as I don't know who the hell the majority of the players are in both teams I don't know which players are better, but Fener seemed to paly a lot better and individual players showed more skill. Fenerbahce has Alex Guiza Lugano Galatasaray has Kewell Lincoln Baros Linderoth Meira De Sanctis Arda Turan trust me the team is better but the coach.. grrrrr perfect example of spurs. how a manager can turn a team around. in our case we are sinkink down. thats why i cant wait to get galatasaray in the game and see Michel Skibbe having no team.. pjburrage
Well I'm holding up brilliantly, no stress of anything. This is because I am not going to waste my money on a product that is unfinished, in these economic times it would be foolish to undertake such a venture. You wouldn't buy a house if it didn't have a roof yet? I may well buy FM09 in the future, but not until I can clarify that it is fully playable without any frustrating bugs that wish to raise their heads. PGB_SPURS_FM09
Baros is a good striker. He proved that at the previous Euros in 2004. They need to play him upfront though lol. I'm doing fine i'm more worried about being made redundant tomorrow lol but by the time the day is over FM will be in my hands and the activation servers will be open and the patch should be out! fattyg
Is it legal for them to do that to you? It appears that they only had me on a temporary contract so apparently they're allowed to. On the plus side (well maybe not) I do have this part time job which i can get the princely sum of £55 a week sick pay. I know, i know i'll try not to spend it all at once. Just a shame that won't even cover my bills lol. Anyway sorry i'm detracting from the thread, so er woooo Fm!
Mike7077
The only issue I had with the demo was injuries. If the patch fixes that, I'll be happy. I didn't have any other problems. I suppose you could argue that I have no way of knowing if there's anything that could crop up beyond six months, but I think I'll risk it. By the time I'm that far down the line, another patch may well be out anyway.

Stupid Michel Skibbe... I believe that the patch will be available within the launch time. Surely SI would not dissapoint us.

CaptainPlanet
Baros is a good striker. As long as it's in an easy league. Galatasaray was going to buy Ricardo Oliviera in the begining of the season but his team did not let him go. So i was just like you when i heard that Baros was coming. because his goal ratio sucks. but he plays good in europe as well. and trust me, the turkish league might not be a premier league but it is good. Just look at the Turkish National team. 2002- 3rd place in world cup 2008 - Semi final in Euro Cup and majority of the players play in Turkey. though in 2008 we were a bit lucky

Just look at the Turkish National team.2002- 3rd place in world cup 2008 - Semi final in Euro Cup and majority of the players play in Turkey. Guiza scored 2 goals in the turkish league in 9 games. last year he scored 27 in la liga itself. see my drift? if it was an easier league he would score 15 goals by now. R. Carlos when he signed for fenerbahce he was also mocking the turkish league and said he could score 10 goals a season. but he scored twice last season and once this season (penalty kick) you would not know the league unless you watch all of the teams. PGB_SPURS_FM09
Yeah ok maybe he's not great in the prem but whos to say he'll be poor elsewhere? Shevchenko was good before he came to the prem yet he still scored a bag load of goals in his career, even if he is rubbish now! And the Euros aren't necessarily easy either... He needs the right manager. NOt saying he will start scoring but the PA is always there...
glamdring
to be honest (beside the up to date squads of course) i had enjoyed FM 07 more than FM08 until the second patch of FM08 was introduced few months after the game's release, but i have high expectations about this year's release.I hope you get the copy mate. Otherwise i am not sure fan sites would keep an updated squad database for FM07. I like my squad lists to be up to date for the date I start the game. Since that can't happen though I like them to be the official database from when the game was released. Since players start moving around as soon as I first click continue it really doesn't matter much where the players start off. I'll be buying FM09 at some point, but the almost certain knowledge that my laptop will creak and groan and collapse in a wheezing heap at the mere thought of trying to run FM09 tends to keep my feet very much on the ground when it comes to excitement about the game's release! Hopefully I'll get a new laptop at some point, but until then pursuing my dream of an all-Scottish squad winning the Champions League (well, to be honest just the SPL will do, I couldn't care less about the Champions League generally, but I want to emulate the Lisbon Lions) in FM07 will do me for the immediate future

Baros scored 0 goals in porstmouth but scored 5 in the league for galatasaray this season.. trust me turkish league is not easy. Arda82
Jardel was a real class act when he was at Bolton man.. jardel was one of the best strikers ever but he screwed up so bad. after his 3rd year in sporting he was horrible. he plays in the brazil now. in a 2nd league. and this guy has now many golden boots? i always liked him and for me he is one of the best strikers. but he blew it in bolton. i wonder if he ever scored there. Mike7077
Járdel was one of those players whose attitude got in the way. He had a lot of raw talent, but no work ethic. By the time he came to Bolton, he was a faded star. Sam Allardyce wanted to do with him what he did with the likes of Okocha, Campo and Djorkaeff. But he stood no chance. He is like Adriano i guess about attitude. Jardel's wife was a porn star. She broke up with him when he was in galatasaray, he got in depression and started to play bad. Than had a transfer to sporting. he played top class for 2 years than faded away so bad. Very few players in history can score the goals he scores inside the box. monkeezgob
17 more hours to play the game... I was just wondering how are you guys waiting for the game? Never before the wait of FM was torturous before. But this one is driving me nuts.Yesterday i was sick and took a day off from my work (trading currencies) today i am working but not much because i am still sore. but minutes just dont pass by. Is it because this will be the best Fm ever? or is it because there is a countdown timer in steam for activation? i dont know but i cant handle this pressure more. It will be 2 AM in my team when the game will be activated and i am so gonna play it that time. Not working tomorrow as it will be a black stock market friday. I better play FM for a while and get the anxiety out of my system... This is driving you nuts!!!!???? Don't be such a girl! Sort yourself out!
