As it stands in game you can offer a player on non contract at a club a contract straight away and could potentially nab a player in a day. In real life this doesn't happen, certainly not in England. You need to put in a 7 day approach, which may be waived by the club receiving the approach if they wish. At this point, in game, you could let the player know they've had an approach and persuade them to stay. I think this could be easily implementable in game and would sooth those frustrating times when managing an amateur or semi-pro club when one second you have a player, the next he's at your rivals.
