Unsurprisingly we sweep the awards in New Zealand, including a Manager of the Year award for us, but the most remarkable one has to be the Team of the Year, every single one of the starting 11 wears a Hamilton Wanderers shirt, amazing achievement.

We complete the treble in another 5-4 win over Auckland City. At least the Kiwi fans can't argue they haven't got their money's worth in domestic main events. Well we have won everything in our first season. Very much unexpected. The game itself was mad just like the last one, but we came through in the end to claim a famous treble.

Right its time for the air miles calculation.

We won 23 games this season.

The equation is as follows

3 x 2.64 x 2 x 1 (31 game season) = 364.41 miles. Added to the 891.67 miles we already have means we have a total of 1,256.08 miles

We are very close to getting back some range to get to Australia, but as yet we will not be adding any more leagues as there is no countries available to us apart from New Caledonia and we of course won't be considering clubs there.

The start of the season has gone pretty well although I am unhappy at the number of goals that we are conceding, that will eventually catch up with us unless we improve substantially. The only disappointing result was 2-2 vs Hawke's Bay at home, I felt we should be beating them, but apart from that there is not a huge amount to complain about.

We are top of the league, 2 points clear of 1000/1 Auckland City.

We have had another very strong month with 6 wins and one loss. We got through two rounds of the Chatham Cup, going through Christchurch United and Hawke's Bay. We have curbed the number of goals conceded and ended the month with 3 clean sheets. Auckland City did beat us in Hamilton, which was a little disappointing but it really has not had much impact on us all in all.

We are well clear in the league, 7 points clear of 2nd and 8 points clear of 5th where the playoff spots end. It's the halfway point of the season and we look set to be in another playoff.

Paul eventually got unsettled and asked for a move to Perth Glory. We decided to cash in on him £1.1m basically resolves our finances at this stage. He was a first team player, whom was very good for us, but I think we can live without him and at the end of the day we did not have a choice, he wasn't going to sign a new contract and he was getting more and more annoyed as the transfers kept coming in.

We continue our fine form in the month of January. We got through both the Chatham Cup and through to the final of the Charity Cup. Again we have been much better defensively. Our only draw came away at Canterbury United, where we just couldn't find the net.

We are miles clear in the league, but remember it will all come down to the playoffs. Auckland City look like they might end up missing out unless they can make up some ground.

We complete another perfect month, as we made the Champions League look like Sunday league as we won 9-0 back to back.

We are decimating the league opening up a 10 point lead on second place. Auckland City are completely out of it, I guess I would have lost my tenner.

The regular season ends with our form still extremely good as it has been all season. We suffer our second defeat of the season away to Waitakare United, however we got our revenge as we won the Charity Cup for the second season in a row. Our first piece of silverware for the season is already in the bag. We also got through the Chatham Cup as we beat lower league opposition.

Our league has been imperious as we finish 13 points clear of second place. Canterbury United get the final playoff spot. Making the final four, Hamilton, Eastern Suburbs, Tasman and Canterbury for the playoffs.

Well as you already know we fell out of the League playoffs to Canterbury, which was very annoying considering the season we had. In the Chatham Cup we got past Waitakere 2-0 and in the Champions League we booked our place in the final, first overcoming Trio Sport 12-0 on aggregate and then we got revenge on Canterbury United beating them 4-1 on aggregate. In the final we will face our old club at Subrail Park, Fiji as they got past Marist Fire.

HAMILTON WANDERERS ARE CHAMPIONS OF OCEANIA!!! Yes we head over to my old stomping ground at Subrail Park in the North Island of Fiji and overcome a spirited Labasa side by 2-0 to lift the Champions League trophy for the first time.

I believe that is our fourth Champions League win as a manager with three different clubs now. That must be some sort of record I imagine.

We manage to get through Phoenix Reserves. I don't really know how they managed to score twice, I believe they actually had one shot on target, but anyway we dominated but we didn't take as many chances as we should have. A bit of a warning against complacency I feel. Anyway we are through to the semi final of Chatham Cup.
