Thandui
No, -10 PA is when a players PA is randomly generated from either 179-200, i think
arsenal_2111
No. Having a -10 PA means that the player has a random PA, between 170-200. Sometimes a player who is a -10 PA could get only 171, wheras a player who isnt a -10 PA could have a PA of more than that. To sum up, potentially a -10 PA is the best PA, as you can get a VERY high PA. But having a set PA can also be good, as you could have a higher than a -10. Hope this makes sense. arsenal_2111
Oh, and no. Having a PA set at 200 means that with the correct training, the player WILL turn out world class, best in the world. -10 PA means that the player COULD turn out world class. The 200PA player is certain to be brilliant. The -10PA player could have a PA of 170(good)-200(excellent). If the -10 player got a good PA in your game then he would have a maximum of 200. If he got this, then both he and the player who has 200PA would be as good as each other. Does this make sense?

stevie_G_32201
when the game is started a person with -10 pa will be generated a random pa level between 170 and 200. like arsenal said the -10 could be just as good at the set 200 pa person. but its all randomised when the game is started or the regens come into play. ~~Stevie G~~
theincrediblehulk
What's been said above is true in theory but it doesnt usually work like that. Unfortunately, having a high PA doesnt GUARANTEE that the player will become the best in the world. In all proability, he'll become very good. But doesnt necessarily mean he'll be the best around. It all depends on what areas his stats develop in. If you have a striker who's got a PA of 199, but for some reason he has long throws at 20, crossing at 20, jumping at 20 yet at the same time, his finishing, composure and heading are like 12-13, he's hardly gonna become a great striker. Take Silva for example. His PA is 182 or something like that and yet, he's easily the best winger on the game (doesnt matter which side). Messi and Ronaldo how a PA of 197 and 195 respectively. And although the both of them are excellent, they're not as good as Silva. So dont always rely on PA. Sometimes a 175PA player can turn out much better than a 190PA player. headshotbg
Silva is left-foot only and that is a big pain in the ass in FM08 and in patch 8.02 generally. He may have tremendous stats, but a player with 15-16 in most important attributes and a stronger "weaker" foot may outperform him. This is the case with many youngsters and regens if trained well I wouldn`t say Ronaldo and Messi are worse than Silva in any case.
