NepentheZ
Mag Man Jr. Looks pretty decent Mag Man, you lucky S.O.B. Decent position for him too, the game could've been cruel and made him a full back or GK
mag man
Haha its about time I got some luck with the youngsters, his in a great position to play for maybe 20 years maybe I will be able to retire his shirt number. I hope my super poor training facilities dont hinder his development to much
NepentheZ
Is that shirt retirement feature actually in FM09? I'm yet to see any relation to a fave shirt number too, where abouts is this noted?
mag man
Ive seen shirt number preference when managing Chelsea but never in the lower leagues. In a summary of podcast 3. Retired Squad Numbers - You can retire squad numbers after a number of years a players been at the club but the number was not revealed. Also any squad number retired in real life will be retired in the game ie Man City 23 in memory or Marc Viven Foe and West Ham number 6 for Bobby Moore. blowcrapup
I've seen a few people request shirt numbers in the lower leagues. Wow thats actually a pretty cool feature (I don't listen to the podcasts)
mag man
I reckon its one of the features you will probably be very lucky to see, player probably has to play something stupid like 500 games for the club.
PaulHartman71
I think that's how it should be though. 500 games might be a lot, but it's better for you to hardly ever retire numbers, than for you to be retiring squad numbers for players that haven't been at the club that long. kcar_92
just a question is there anyone who played in sweden because with bahia i found out i was gonna end up selling all the best players (even come through) so i started the scandinavian challenge. however im going to start playing season 2 and i've had no regens, nor did any of the other swedish squads. and i was going to follow them through this project. is this something i only experienced. thx for those helping

I am hoping for big things. Youth Project 2 Pedro Delgado - ST Portugese Left Foot - Very Strong Right Foot - Very Weak PPMs - None Initial Profile Pedro looks promoising. He is of a similar calibre to my best striker. His one-footedness worries me slightly, but he is only young. He looks as though he could develop to be a very pacey striker which is something I like. PaulHartman71
After playing on and off pretty much all today i've managed to get my fifth season in dafuge's challenge done. On a very happy note, his 1 goal was one of the 2 scored in the 30 minutes of extra time in our 3-1 play-off final victory. Since we're playing in the Blue Square Premier he probably wont play as much, but i'll play him when I can. Project 2, Callum Graham - GK Initial Profile End of Season 1 Profile End of Season 2 Profile End of Season 3 Profile ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Club Season Division Games Conc Cln Sheets MOTM Rating ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- FC United 2011-12 Blue Square North 0 0 0 0 N/A FC United 2012-13 Blue Square North 0 0 0 0 N/A Droylsden 2013-14 Blue Square North 0 0 0 0 N/A Summary - He was the second choice Goalkeeper at Droylsden this season, and was never called upon to play. Despite being 3 years into his career he has yet to play in a competitive game of football. Project 3, Nathan Davis - GK Initial Profile End of Season 1 Profile End of Season 2 Profile ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Club Season Division Games Conc Cln Sheets MOTM Rating ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- FC United 2012-13 Blue Square North 0 0 0 0 N/A FC United 2013-14 Blue Square North 0 0 0 0 N/A Summary - Is the third choice Goalkeeper at the club, and with the imminent promotion to the BSP, I may sign a better Goalkeeper, so this guys time is probably up at the club. Project 4, Neil Smith - DC Initial Profile End of Season 1 Profile ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Club Season Division Games Goals Assists MOTM Rating ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- FC United 2013-13 Blue Square North 0 0 0 0 N/A Summary - Must be a very fit player to have played 70 times this season in Reserve and U18 games. As previously said it's very unlikely he will make it at the club and will probably leave in the next 2 or 3 years. Project 5, Peter Serrant - MC Initial Profile Summary - 'One of the best players to come through the Youth system in recent years', well judging by the 3 previous projects i'd have to agree with the assistant, but it looks likely Serrant will only ever be as good as Lee Horton. However, at least it's not another defensive player!

sirdez24
The pick of my latest crop (June 2012). He looks reasonable, with decent technique and finishing, excellent physical stats and high work rate and teamwork. His off the ball stat worries me a bit as it seems to be more important than ever this year, and his decision making is terrible, but given I play with attacking wingers, he'll get games this season both up front and wide left. Positional ratings: Midfield left: Natural Attacking midfield left: Natural Striker: Accomplished Midfield centre: Accomplished Left foot: Very strong Right foot: Very weak PPMs: Tries to play way out of trouble (combine this with his decisions rating and it should be interesting...) Nothing much else from this year's crop.
zinkywinks
Well, I don't do LLM til I get to know the game a bit, so these regens are from my Manchester United game, I know, not so much of a stretch for them to be good, but these are the best of this past July's new batch. I didn't see this thread til now so they're a couple months trained, but still first season. ~Ian~
just a question is there anyone who played in sweden because with bahia i found out i was gonna end up selling all the best players (even come through) so i started the scandinavian challenge. however im going to start playing season 2 and i've had no regens, nor did any of the other swedish squads. and i was going to follow them through this project. is this something i only experienced. thx for those helping Just a bit more to follow on from what blowcrapup said. I'm playing in Sweden too at the moment for that challenge. Since the Swedish league is a summer league and so out of sync with most, the game offers you the chance of two seasons to start in eg 2006 and 2007 while the rest use 2006/07. I think you may only get regens after your first season if you choose the second to start in (2007), as if you go for the first (2006) the game may be unbalanced with you getting regens before the rest of the world. superpippo1990
im up for this just for a bit of a shake up, im creating my own club called Forest Heath and putting them in the BSS.
