The Omen
What is to stop me buying the game from a cheaper country on Steam? I assume they will run a check when I log online, but can't I just use a proxy? I'm so annoyed at having to pay a 'tax' just because I live in England. It's a very unfair policy. You could use a proxy when ordering, but not when downloading it (since you must do it using steam program), e.g, I think it wouldn't work...
The Omen
Thought they must be able to prevent it otherwise everyone would do it. What is the official reason behind some countries getting taxed and others getting away with paying nothing?
The Omen
By the way, you don't need a proxy when ordering, just change the location where you will be playing the game. Seems Europe gets hit by tax but everywhere else, including the US, don't.
