The only country to receive attrition this season is Slovenia 34%, which means that they are officially now replaced and will be unloaded. They will be replaced by the following randomly drawn country:-

The new randomly drawn country is Romania, they will only be eligible for attrition once the league season has begun, they are not eligible while the league is still unloaded. In this case they are both summer leagues Slovenia and Romania so will replace each other within a day of each other at the end of June 2024.

Borussia Dortmund

After getting an offer from both Borussia Dortmund and Napoli, we decide we want to be in Ruhr Valley and with the German giants and one of the best supported clubs in the world.

The journey from Moscow to Dortmund is a long one, from as far East as it is still safe to call Europe to Western Europe near the Dutch border, Dortmund in Germany. it takes at least a day to traverse driving all day long to over the 2,300 km or so, crossing a section of Russia, Belarus, Poland and most of Germany to get to.

We will be playing our football in front of some of the best football fans in the world and in one the best football stadiums in the world.

Dortmund is big German city, perhaps not as popular as Berlin or Munich, but we will call it home from now on.

The club have been on a worrying little slide in the league over the last couple of years and I am here to make sure that stops in it's tracks.

The club are one of the most successful in the history of German football, having lifted the Champions League once and the Bundesliga on 8 occasions, as well as European Cup Winners Cup and the German Cup 4 times. Let's hope we can add to that haul.

The team definately has plenty of quality, I am unsure we really need to do too much to the team, we just need to get morale up and get them playing good football and the results will improve I am sure.

And the deal is finalised, Daniel Baah, the American international and the best central midfielder at the club is gone to Manchester United once the transfer window opens in a few days. We do now have £60m to burn added to the £101m transfer budget we started with, so we will be looking to dip into the transfer market very soon.

Our first move in the transfer market is a big one as we replace Daniel Baah with 20 year old French midfield sensation Teddy Lemaire for £50m from Lille. He is a wonderkid whose potential shows no limit, and so I think he will be an excellent addition to the team and will help replace what we have lost in Daniel Baah.

Another so called wonderkid joins the club in Martin Kolar, a young 20 year old goalkeeper from Sparta Prague. We need more goalkeeping talent, so I decided to pick up Martin for the rather cheap sum of £6m. I am sure the Czech keeper will be with us for many years to come.

Another top signing comes to Dortmund in the form of Patrik Plachy again from Sparta Prague. The Czech midfielder is only 17, so is probably only a squad player at the moment but his potential is off the scale and he could be world class midfielder, of that there is no doubt. He costs us £6.75m as we activate his minimum fee release clause to sign him.

We let another player in Tijani Owusu leave for £3.6m to Hoffenheim, I have let the Dortmund B manage his business as there are lot of players in the team and I trust not sell anyone we could use in the team. Tijani was very unlikely to ever make it in the first team.

Borussia Dortmund (August 2024)

6dbd37ad157aff4a64a5cdc96b1dc34c.png

August is complete and we have looked very good. We battered Augsburg at their place and then toughed out a 1-0 win against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Borussen derby.

7e06a446e3982ffbadc3cee57ac9c88a.png

It's early in the season but we top the table with 6 points from our two games. There are still a fair few sides that have only played one game, so at this time the only other team to have played 2 and have a perfect record is Mainz. Hopefully we can keep the form up in the coming months.

Borussia Dortmund (September 2024)

Overall it has been a good month, we did suffer a loss away to Hoffenheim which is likely to be a tough place to get points this season, and to be honest that game could have gone either way. The rest of the month we were impressive getting wins against Leverkusen and Hannover at home and Darmstadt away.

1c97b91a03ec1dfaf0612a601d84c606.png

It's pretty tight at the top of the table, as we are a point ahead of Mainz and two ahead Bayern Munich. It's still pretty early and a lot of things can change but I am glad we are top of the league.

Borussia Dortmund (October 2024)

October was a good month for us as we got a point at Bayern Munich, and getting a point at Bayern is always a good result. We then won our next two league games against Koln and Werder Bremen to continue our good form this season.

27568391f6cffc68194b17bd8a3f3b1a.png

It's pretty tight at the top of the table, RB Leipzig look a very good side this season, and are the only team not to have yet recorded a loss. Bayern Munich as expected are right up there as well. We do however remain top a point clear of RB Leipzig and two clear of Bayern Munich.

We are having a lot more issues on the road than at home where we seem almost invincible. The two away 1-1 draws while credible have set us back a little in the league, we need to win as many games as possible, but not losing games is also very commendable and I am happy at the moment that we not losing those games and still picking up points.

f0a18e84cf1566f8f8fc3ff98eb4c761.png

Bayern Munich will go top with a win in their game in hand. It is still very tight at the top of the league between ourselves, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig and game is beginning to form to 4th place Mainz now. I think it is likely that the gap is just going to get bigger between the top three and the rest of the league.

Borussia Dortmund (December 2024)

We have been excellent this month as we manage to win all five league fixtures. We won the Revier derby to start the month an easy 3-0 win over Schalke, before we welcomed on form RB Leipzig and beat them pretty easily in the end 3-0. Mainz have been in great form this season and so beating them 3-1 at home was nice. We ended with games against two sides I expected to beat although the away game in Frankfurt could always bring issues, but we negotiated it all fantastically and are really kicking on.

1729d02245c713e3ce617dd9df1a64de.png

What once before was a three horse race, had quickly become a two horse race as RB Leipzig have struggled to keep on ourselves and Bayern Munich's heels. It looks as we approach the half way point it will be shoot out between us from here. We both have 45 points so far this season and are neck and neck, at the moment the deciding factor is our superior goal difference, but over half of a season that is certainly catchable, so we need to keep our wits about us and continue our sterling form and hope at some point Bayern Munich will go through a dip in form. I am sure Bayern will be hoping the same happens to us.

David Neres had caused all kinds of grief first being annoyed at not playing then stating that he was going to see his contract out. Since he was not part of the first team we decided it was better we at least get something for him so he moves to Newcastle United for £3.75m. In fairness that is an absolute bargain for Newcastle United as he could join any club in the summer and would probably go elsewhere then, but we at least get something for the guy. I actually don't think we need to replace him, at least not now as we have plenty of players that can cover.

We unfortunately have to let Zeki Celik go. His heart was set on leaving and so our job was to get as good a deal as we could for him. In the end he chose to leave for Manchester City and we get £48m, which could rise to £53m. We do need to sort out a replacement so I will be looking to bring someone in in the coming days if possible.

To replace Celik who left for Manchester City, we bring in Alvaro Odriozola from Barcelona for £21m. He is a ready made replacement, two year older than Celik but at half the cost, I think it is a good move for us until we find the long term replacement.

Borussia Dortmund (January 2025)

862eaefdffcd819548f2cecb36b4ef68.png

The league resumed at the end of January and we faced three tough fixtures and came through them very much unscathed, which I am very happy about as we picked up another 3 wins.

dc2cc55888c325845ca791fa4ba74f66.png

We remain top of the league now 2 points clear of Bayern Munich in second place. Bayern drew to Hoffenheim away so that is why they are now two points behind as opposed to being level on points. The gap now between us two and RB Leipzig looks unassailable now, so one of Dortmund and Bayern Munich look destined to take the Bundesliga title.

Borussia Dortmund (February 2025)

2a54956e694b3a2c29c97da955e81661.png

February has been a bit of blip in the road as we lost away to Hannover 96, rather inexplicably I must say. Bayern Munich had lost the day before at Werder Bremen so it ended up being an opportunity lost, we also did not take an opportunity when we played them at home in the league and ended up drawing 1-1 despite being the better side in the game. Elsewhere we have been good without being spectacular.

d82c04e897d9b4a56a431ca17c932e8d.png

It remains a two point lead at the top of the table for us, with Bayern Munich continuously on our heels. Mainz are continuing to have a great season and have now leapfrogged RB Leipzig. Mainz are now managed by Pochettino so he is working wonders with that side. The coming months will decide where the title will go, you just feel that ourselves or Bayern Munich could have a bad few games and that will end up being the deciding factor.

Nice story and good progress! But why you do not make screenshots of your players? It would be interesting to see.

No real reason, no one has mentioned it before so didn't really think about it. I can do a end of year view of the players if people want to see that stats behind  the players.

Borussia Dortmund (March 2025)

fe4dceb254b86bf634a1e773ec8df059.png

March is a short month, but there were some difficult ties in there and we did splendidly to come through and win them all. In general our performances have been great this month as we complete a perfect month as we win all games.

faf6f36cca02685ba1cde583b8ff2b54.png

I said last month that which ever out of us and Bayern Munich blinked first might through away the title and Bayern have not had the greatest month, picking up a lot of draws in the process. This means that with two months left of the season and 10 games we to go we have opened up an 8 point lead on them. We have also now mathematically qualified for the Champions League, which considering the board only wanted us to qualify for the Europa League this season already makes it reasonably successful.
