silentwars Posted July 26, 2019 Share Posted July 26, 2019 One of the things I've noticed on FM, in the PL at least is that the newly promoted teams don't spend anywhere near what they do in real life. Whilst I accept a few teams don't spend much (such as Cardiff last year), teams are spending more and more each year. Wolves and Fulham both in and around 100 m last year, Villa this year look to exceed that. To show my point, the newly promoted teams transfer windows on my current save are shown below. Obviously, having teams spending more upon promotion, will make the PL more competitive, as it is in real life. Essentially on the current version you end up with 3 Championship quality teams in the PL each year, making avoiding relegation super easy. Current save: Villa: Spent £0 Bristol City: Spent 2.9m Sheffield United: Spent 1.9m And without any surprise all 3 are in the relegation places.
