cdleedsfan
Sorry, I know this is just another annoying thread about problems but I really need help. My flat mates are all playing the game and I'm still stuck! Very Annoying! Anyway, Once I installed the game it displayed an error saying "...installed with some errors. Please check Installation log." So I did and the logs only error was this one. Custom Action: com.sigames.InstallAnywhere.WindowsGameExplorer Status: ERROR Additional Notes: ERROR - class com.sigames.InstallAnywhere.WindowsGameExplorer NonfatalInstallException AddGameExplorerTasks() failed: Failed to retrieve GUID for application Is there anything I can do to fix this? Is it that my laptop isn't up to spec? The game starts to load and begins a new game but as soon as I click "new user" it just closes without any warning. Any help would be nice. Cheers in advance. YCFCLAD
hi, I've had a look into it and I've found that the problem is caused by one file, "com.sigames.InstallAnywhere.WindowsGameExplorer" apparently it cannot extract the GUID file, I am currently trying to troubleshoot it and find out what I need to get it, once I know anything I will message on here...:-)
Bonze
I have had the exact same problem, cdleedsfan. Have written numerous posts saying the same as you, but no-one seems to want to respond!!
PGB_SPURS_FM09
Have you been to this part of the forums yet? http://community.sigames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=114 Post it there!
WIB
This is regarding the game being added to the games folder in Vista. (Start>Games>list of games) Doesn't do anything to the game itself, so don't worry.
Glenn Wakeford
Sometimes games install with these "problems" but the majority have no effect on the game. Are you able to run FM and play without problems? If so, there's nothing to worry about.
Bonze
I've managed to get the game working by running it in windowed mode, though I have no idea why this makes any difference!!
