AlexJames
Quick random question, can anyone confirm: When setting your "Primary Trained Tactic" with applied player roles, TIs & PIs, and then proceeding through a week of training, pre-match tactic talks etc.... ...If you then make change to this tactic just prior to match day - say, change a PF(a) to TM(s), or switch TI "Work Ball into Box" with "Hit Early Crosses" - does this have an adverse effect on team performance, as the tactic they have been training all week has now changed, or are these considered minor tweaks that are easily accommodated? sporadicsmiles
Small changes are not going to make a huge difference to the performance. Not the ones you say anyway. Trying to completely change your style will have a bigger effect, but it will depend on your players and how they can pull it off. Changing entirely the formation and team instructions will likely cause more issues. Anyway, making specific changes before or during a match will be completely fine if it is to attack a specific weakness in the opposition. That will outweigh any negatives. It is often worse to stick to exactly the same tactical setup when it is not working than it is to change things around.
