TWG85
Times are getting harder for lower league clubs, as we know. Alternative sources of income can be important, & some are thinking outside the box in an effort to be more, or even totally self-sufficient. Examples being Maidstone United, who have a plastic, 3G Pitch, which is one of their main sources of revenue, earning them approximately half-a-million a year, which without they'd go bust. My local team Kidderminster Harriers, after some years of financial struggle are running Football Education courses at their training ground, for local college kids & young recently released players, who also play for their youth teams, which earns them a similar amount from government pay-outs & are looking to further expand in the future. I feel greater emphasis on this lower down the leagues & for teams without generous, vastly wealthy benefactors would be a great addition to the game. Not only for the sake of realism, but it could open up interesting budgeting impacts if you have a particularly wily/creative chairman/executives.
