Asian Champions League Draw

3c2de24cc486cfe33dab6bea18c20476.png

We enter the preliminary rounds but face an uphill take to even get through one round as we face Jordanian side Al-Wehdat.

If, IF we get through that we then face Nasaf from Uzbekistan and in the play-off the winner faces Al-Rayyan from Qatar.

Asian Champions League 2023

To beat Wehdat was a real surprise but then to beat Nasaf too was wild. Qualifying for the ACL essentially starts before pre-season does so we were not match fit at all, I was a bit caught out to be honest and we also had our first choice GK and both first and second choice RB's away on international duty for Turkmenistan. And for both wins to come away from home was a big plus too. That win over Nasaf meant we went into the play-offs to play Al-Rayyan.

f0bde8454b1e71f70a13666258ac2217.png

That didn't go too well but I can't fault the team, we weren't expected to be in this position let alone the one before that.

Interestingly all the preliminaries are one-legged affairs and annoyingly stats wise the first two games classed as last season whereas the Al-Rayyan game is in the new season.

Great effort nevertheless!

That Mexico world.cup win is wild, thrashing Germany 5-0 along the way. Also, wtf Austria?!

Thanks, we've dropped into the group stages of the Confederation Cup and been drawn along with Altyn Asyr. I guess its more regional at this level.

It was, I've seen it fairly commonly especially in last years FM that a mid-tiered team wins a World Cup. Alaba scored 4 goals in 5 shots which must have been penalties so that explains a lot.

2023 Youth Intake Preview

69fe890939916dd501458ced696dffcf.png

This is definitely better than last seasons intake preview however, its much of the same. Wing-backs  one highly rated and a good defensive midfielder. It is of belief that the group of players has the potential to be a golden generation.

2023 Youth Intake

  • Four more left wing backs :seagull: :thdn:
  • A CB and a AMR with potential that wasn't on the preview
  • The DM has good potential as the preview suggested
  • No 5* potential players despite it being an apparent "golden generation" :thdn:
  • Personalities are improved 7 negative versus 9 positive

Turkmenistan! We're FM neighbours! Central Asia seems bizarrely well represented at the moment in here. :D

That center back you hired is absolutely nuts. Premier league level potential talent.

Its great, such an untouched part of the FM world.

He's great, a few attributes have dropped but i'm in the process of upgrading facilities and coaches to help maintain/improve him.

2023 Season Review

Could we back up last season first league title with another one? Back to back cup wins?

Transfers

ddfe13844c15d6d208e3970e0cec73ab.png

Four players in this season for fee's. You've seen the beast Bayramow! Annayew is a player that could play a couple of positions but was primarily used in CM. Garayew came in as a back up GK and Marth is a young Singaporean winger signed from Australian side Green Gully.

League

23a82c4ec409fed84011dc066419385a.png

We were imperious, just one league loss to Ahal which was a 5-4 humdinger. Altyn really struggled this season and Ahal's form was never really solid.

Turkmenistan Cup

0b5fdd7dba538ebb93a5c7b289b48149.png

An easier route to the final this season with some convincing wins along the way. I rotated heavily in the semi-finals and went full strength in the final which was two weeks after the 2nd semi final game.

Confederation Cup

d58960f5d57c42ec71c1e998ac84cdad.png

After being knocked out of the Champions League we dropped into Confederation Cup. We started the group well with 2 wins and draw before tailing off to gain just one more point in the last 3 games.

Squad

2f596c79ef5c0d2291577dd54848c6e5.png

Metdayew top scored this season with 27 whilst Hasanow scored 24 himself. New signing Annayew scored 12 from midfield. Ali Kassar made 12 assists and had the highest average rating but is a player that is set to leave as he won't sign a new contract. 17 year old Bayramow made 37 (1) appearance and scored 6 goals, a fantastic opening season where he made his international debut for Turkmenistan.

Behind the Scenes

We improved the youth facilities and also asked the board to improve the training facilities which they agreed to. I will look to again improve the Youth Recruitment and Junior Coaching in the next season.

2024 Season Review

Back to back domestic doubles secured, could we make it a trio?

League

0a462eae164d1b7b3692ca0e6c3c0fb0.png

Absolutely dominant from day one when we won 9-0 away from home to the 27th game of the season, we lost our undefeated season on the last day to Altyn Asyr. 105 goals is incredible, we also beat bottom club Asudalyk 8-1, 8-0 and 7-0. 34 goals conceded is a little concerning but as we've gone even more attacking its resulted in scorelines like 6-4, 6-3 twice and 5-3. We hit four or more goals on 15 occasions this season.

Turkmentistan Cup

f33ebfcd4714fc946afa06da3be39393.png

Poor performance really, I'm not sure where these two results come from. Board were not bothered despite wanting us to reach the final.

Asia

d3157477d4384c0b912d0162b39d17f3.png

We dropped out of the Champions League at the hands of Amanat Baghdad and dropped into the Confederation Cup. We finished 3rd in the group as Kuktosh went on to clinch top spot. The board were happy with our performance.

Transfers

75cb48a0c46ef5f469a442c7d67162a3.png

Just 3 players joined this year. Alikperow and Zhukov are youngsters brought in for development. Supriadi is a Indonesian international winger, he was released by Persebaya at the end of the 2023 season. Slotted straight in at right wing.

Squad

a464061c170e3b9c76553398a49c6024.png

The front four were fantastic. What can I say about Hasanow other than I don't know how he does it! He is beyond outperforming his attributes. Whilst 41 goals total is fantastic it was his domestic campaign which stoked me.

83da1f4c8907fde1eea44134c806ae25.png

34 goals in 27(1) games and averaged 8.08 rating over the course of the season. Here he is below...

2b667e9ed5ee87b31e00edeb15dd0885.png

133 League goals in 154 games plus 17 goals in the Turk Cup and 18 in continental competition. He's undroppable.

We also can't not write some words about Singaporean winger Fabien Marth who also averaged over 8.0 for the season, his 14 goals and 17 assists in the league was an outstanding contribution.

Behind the Scenes

The training facilities were completed and now sit at Good. I want to improve all the youth aspects in the coming season as that last intake was poor.

I completed another course which took me to Continental C level.

Going brilliant so far. Hope there are gonna be some amazing youngsters in the coming seasons. Do you scout in Africa? There are always great cheap players there. Especially for sides like this.

Thanks very much and thanks for reading. Yeah, I need to really improve the coaching and recruitment again this season, I've not really had a stand out player for a season or two now.

I can't actually scout Africa yet, my DoF has recommended a couple of Nigerian youngsters but declined to bid for them as we can only have 3 foreign players in our squad and I have two at the moment which I will be loyal to as they're doing well. My scouting range is currently Western Asia, so Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and a couple other at the minute.

1 hour ago, kidthekid said:

Hasanow really doing the business for you. I wonder what happened in 2023 when he wasn't your top scorer.

By the way, what's your tactical system like? If I recall, it's crazily attacking.

He's banging them in for fun, I don't know why he didn't score more than Metdayew, I don't think he had any bad injuries to keep him out.

My tactic is nothing special, 4-2-4 with AMR/Ls and wing play on. All four defenders set to defend and central mids are AP/Mez combination. I'll post it later when I get home from work.

2025 Champions League Qualification

However, we're still in this seasons Champions League and we face Al-Qadsia in the West First Preliminary Round. If we beat them we face Al-Shorta of Syria in the 2nd Preliminary Round. And if we pass them we face Al-Rayyan from Saudi Arabia in the play-off if we get that far.

2025 Season Review

Its been three league wins on the bounce but we didn't retain the Cup last season, could we win it back?

League

7d273a243a5061a5add9f7c1beea8c19.png

We won the title by a 18 point margin but we certainly didn't have it all our own way, we lost two games having lost just once last season but the main thing was the goals, we only scored 69 compared to last seasons 105. Defensively we were better but I want more goals. :D

Turkmenistan Cup

0b05aefd3b59f401203e6ed5abf0b4bb.png

Despite what looks an easy run to the final and win, we didn't make it easy for ourselves, the lack of free scoring affected us in the cup too, only beating second division side Garadamak 1-0 over two legs was a worry.

Asia

20dbc762a078c18881bf61d017e3ffa6.png

We beat Al-Qadsia in the CL Prelim 1st Round to set up that Al-Shorta tie, lets not talk about that.

We dropped into the Confed Cup Group stage where we had a pretty decent campaign, winning all our home games and getting a draw in Tajikistan which left us 2nd in the group behind Kuktosh who qualified from the group.

Transfers

6551df923d5169380012dd341337e4a4.png

Three players in this season with only Vitor being a first team player, he was recommended to me by my DoF. I sold a couple of B team players for good money at this level.

Squad

4c6da69995139798ce96cccb8382fbe0.png

Just three players hit double figures this season but we began to struggle with injuries, Metdayew, Marth and Supriadi all have long-ish injuries this season which stunted their game time. Hasanow continued to score the goals and was joined by Minhairow who also scored 28 goals this season in 44 minutes less than his compatriot, he also made 11 assists so he claims my Top Scorer award this season. Overall we played much more poorly which is shown by the poor average ratings across the squad.

Behind the Scenes

0a0e6c3a2451a526713e1c960dbcfbf5.png

The board announced the upgrade to the youth facilities after 10 months of planning, doing it for cheaper than first expected too.

Finances

We tip back over the £4m mark after the expenditure on the youth facilities. We've been given just under £2m to spend on transfers and have a £24k p/w wage budget of which we are currently spending just under half of.

Asian Confederation Cup

3aca13f1085b5ed7bf9363386685d780.png

So this is the roadmap for the Asian Confederation Cup which looks and is confusing as hell as the competition is regionalised as much as possible until the latter stages of course.

We've entered the competition this season at the point where it says Central. We've been drawn with;

ac27b3a32f080c3e58f79d7c63a4964f.png

Regar from Tajikistan and Stallion from the Philippines who to my knowledge are pretty Eastern in Asia. The Eastern Group has teams from Thailand and Hong Kong which are more Western than the Philippines.

Top spot qualifies for the next round, which ever that is!

2026 Season Review

League

18aab482ed516703994bed07e616db0a.png

Another title, already our 5th in a row in fact. We only scored a handful more goals than last season but it felt a much better season. Our two losses came against Serhetci (when we had about 7 first team players on international duty) and Ahal when we rotated due to continental competition priority. That group of four chasing teams have become very even amongst themselves.

Turkmenistan Cup

d6d8f58eb4c9955bd287378c387d700f.png

A much easier run to the final this season but it was one step too far as we lost on penalties to Altyn. Disappointed to have conceded 4 goals to Gosun despite scoring 8 ourselves.

Confederation Cup

944a34dede9f32455ea4a4fb8162d901.png

Still confused as to where we really finished, I believe we were semi-finalists. We had an easy group and interzone semi-final, we didn't concede a goal. Buriram were a tough team to face, we got an away goal but were put to the sword by @Makoto Nakamura's favourite Thai talisman Suphanat Mueanta, at the age of 24 he has 59 goals in 89 international games

Transfers

c55a00b2bd465e0e4c18798192e70277.png

Just one player joined this season as Owekow was released by Sagadam, he came in as back up.

Squad

c37b9aed42d1f69849ab03c40a3ffe3c.png

Many more goals this season as four players hit double figures. Hasanow continued to defy his attributes as he scored another 32 goals. However it was last seasons top scorer Minhairow who scored 35 goals. Marth was back to his best form, contibuting goals and making 24 assists, a new record. Supriadi again performed well with 22 goals but wants to leave for a bigger team, no interest in him so far though. Centre back partnership of Vitor and Bayramow really shone this season with a 91% tackle success rate between them. Nasyrow was also a surprise, he quietly developed in the youth team but he forced his way into the first choice LB spot this season.

Behind the Scenes

The youth facilities were improved and now rated at Below Average, we also improved the Youth Recruitment to Good and the Junior Coaching to Excellent

bc58212acacccce674231c115b01bd35.png

I signed a new 2 year contract with a small pay rise of £100 p/w, taking me to November 2028.

Finances

c09e08e93d49bdbddd8eb6ca1bee1799.png

With over £5m in the bank its now time to improve the facilities again. Last season we only spent £250k on our youth setup so easily affordable for us.

2027 Youth Intake

19b02b8c4343d339a4c7184eb7f9c0f1.png

In my eyes this is not a golden generation, not even a 5* potential player.

They're right in saying we won't be short of CB's there's 6 of them. Friggin' left wing backs man, another 5 of them. One central midfielder, one goalkeeper and 3 strikers.

No wingers, no wide midfielders, technically no right backs.

There are some really tall players here too, 6'7", 6'6" and two 6'4".

2027 Season Review

League

90e0eeb1e2f2e3be3d98f31ba37c5529.png

Another title, comfortable 15 point gap to second placed Altyn. Disappointing to have lost twice this season, to Altyn and Energetik Mary.

Turkmenistan Cup

d0cb8edb806fd28a7b05535451353e5f.png

Our fourth title in six seasons. Reserved performances until first leg against Ahal. Comfortable in the final with the main men bagging a brace each.

Asia

03fc2355c8b0e0e14d4854b21337fd34.png

Straight into the Group stage this season, against two Tajikistan clubs. Easily topped the group dropping two points. We then faced Indian side Aizawi, another comfortable first leg win was eclipsed by a humdinger back in India. We then faced last season's foes Buriram and faded to the same fate and fell at the same stage.

Transfers

3dfeb3494f3aa3bd12152211d9b4b8f7.png

We spent a quarter of a million this season bringing in some depth to the squad. We re-signed Babayew from Energetik Mary for twice the price we sold him for but recouped 50% of the profit from the deal. Allanazarow was another back up defender which we overpaid for but was best available. Abdoli was a on loan replacement for the departed winger Marth, he was subject to bids from Central Coast and Western Utd, choosing the latter. Marth made 144 appearances, scored 47 goals and made 73 assists since joining for £375.

Squad

423939ee1268864121d78a6ca2cb3423.png

Hasanow went ham, 40 goals this season taking him to 268 goals in his career for the club. Minhairow with 27 goals himself was great support, just one other player hitting double figures was poor though. With Marth leaving that gives me an opportunity to bring in another foreign player to improve a key position.

Behind the Scenes

Not much happened this season, we got an upgrade to the youth facilities organised which will be completed in April 2028.

I have also began another coaching course which will take me to Continental A license but will take 12 months to complete.

The board have also increase the number of staff I can have, coaches from 3 to 7 and scouts from 3 to 5.

He was backed up by new signing Amed who scored 21 goals and made 14 assists. Supriadi had another stop-start season through injuries but made it 20 goals for the season.
