Only after Pre-Season. That`s how it works for me.
Also edit the weekly training with 1-2 extras, if needed.

Mainstriker (Piatek) 34 matches - 28 goals, 3 assists
Left midfieldwinger (Dilrosun) 20 (4) matches - 11 goals, 4 assists
Right (sometimes left) midfieldwinger (Lukebakio) 26 (3) matches - 10 goals, 10 assists
Right midfieldwinger/sometimes striker (Cunha) 9 (14) matches - 7 goals, 2 assists

Others:
Central midfield players (Maier, Ciano, Bardhi etc.) - 15 goals, 27 assists
Central and Wing-Defenders: 16 goals, 26 assists

1st Season updated Cerber5 almost over. Fantastic season. Now Cup-Final vs RB Leipzig.
No cheating (Loading, Editor etc.), only this updated tactic and the helping stuff (Morale, Training etc.).
Thx TFF ♥ Now CL Final, Allez PSG! :)

Whoa, puh!...I just finished my 2nd season with Hertha BSC and CerberV5. This tactic is a blast and gets better with every season.
After 1st season 1st place@league and cupfinal won, this year was "ez" in the Bundesliga with 9 points difference to Bayern Munich (2nd).
+ my last topscorer K. Piatek scored 27x goals@Bundesliga. 83 goals in 34 matches is awesome.
The first half of the season was like a dream.
The second i kinda struggled because of injuries and idk, it was difficult to score + Champions Leagie, German Cup, National Teams was hard to manage my players.
Overall still an superb league result !

e1e458572345257ff245b67dac09a4be.jpg

This 2nd season i reached the Cup Final, too.
But lost vs Bayern Munich@penalites. Atleast i got the equalizer Min87. :)

52621737387baacd89d0130503865cea.png

And then the Champions League Final vs Man City...daaaaaaaaamn what a thrill! :D
Both teams are equal, got chances to score. Start of the 2nd half my  central midfielder and huge talent Arne Maier with a brutal foul..red card. shiiiiieeeeeeeeet*
BUT.....62. Minute, penalty for my team and i have an awesome penaltyscorer wit Piatek, who scored 7 out of 9 penalites@Bundesliga.
MISS! :seagull:

79. Minute....my must-have-central-defender Torunarigha is injured. RIP :(
I hope, since 40min 1 player less, to reach the overtime somehow.
BÄM! 94. Minute GOAL from my left midfielder Dilrosun, 1:0, SHIIIIIIIIIIIIELD WAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAALLLLLL!!!111 :hammer:
30sec later...WINRAR of tha Champignons League.

Man...what a wild 2nd season.
That`s why i love the Football Manager so much. + with THIS tactics from TFF it`s even more fun.
Thanks alot, stay safe and i`m looking forward to the 3rd season. :D

Hey all,

Two questions for v5:

1) Getting through quite a lot on the wings (as u would expect) with both wing back and winger on either side. Trouble is they all really enjoy rather finishing themselves, instead of passing the ball to the unmarked ST (or even MC) in front of goal. Now, I've tried teaching the unselfish traits such as "pass rather than shot" but to no avail. They keep on hitting lame shots wide or straight at the goalie. Have any of you found a way around this? Is it simply down to the quality/unselfishnes of the W/WB?
2) What pitch size do you use for v5?

What does everyone do for Team Training. Are there any good schedules out there that fit TFFs tactics?

Hey @middleweight165,

I'm following @Nebuuu's advice with quite some success:
Balanced all season long (except for pre season). Adding the odd "Attacking patient" and "Match Review" when match congestion is not to heavy.

Challenging for promotion with Bolton (first season) with this approach on v5.

  1.  On my recent saves with Hertha (Start of the 2nd season. I started a new one because of Data-Updates), my left WB Plattenhardt is top@assists
    12 matches, 11 assists, 1 goal. His Stats are Crosses-16, Passing-12, Decisions-14, Teamwork-15, Concentration-13. Idk if that helps.

    b3d250d16c3ac85239046921879f29ed.png

  2. Maximum pitchsize.
I believe it helps a little to make the tactic more effecient. Especially when your Left Midfielder are one of the most important position here and we have to come from the sides (LM, WBs).

Will try this - though I sincerely doubt Bolton will be able to attract any player with those kind of stats :-D At least as early as in Season 2.

Anyway, cheers @Nebuuu

Hi TFF, I knew that the primary tactic is for any team to be overachieving with a good balance in attack and defense, my case is I've dominating fm20 with this tactic till the point that I am wondering, if I have built a god tier team which is better than any team in my save, is there any tweak you would recommend to make?

Hi mate,

I don't find there are any tweaks that you can apply in that case and get any noticeable difference... at least I haven't found any. ;)

Wow. TTF you’ve done it again.

I personally just wanted to say thank you. At 34 years old like most of you I’ve been playing football manager/CM since it’s incarnation all those years ago. However with work an family life now taking the priority my footy manager time is limited. The more plug an play tactics is all I have time for as opposed to constant micro management. Your tactics consistently do the trick and make my life easier. Such variety as well. I know from your POV you’ll name your best one but for me I love switching between a few depending who I’m playing. Also at lower league level where I start my journeys I have less flexibility over players who can play the specialist roles your tactics demand. So the variety in older tested formations you supply are brilliant too.

One question though, as I’m late to the Fm20 party (was still playing fm19) is it a bug this year that corners are easy to score from or is it a characteristic of TTF tactics (that I could change for realism). Only ask as in pre season my Left aided centre back has scored 3 goals from 4 friendlies (3 of the friendlies against far higher opposition).

as always keep up the good work!

Hey mate,

I'm glad to hear the tactics works good for you.

I don't find there's any exploit in this year FM version when it comes to the corners set pieces and the anomaly that you encountered is just luck but as I said on a long road the numbers should look more or less realistic.

Hi,

The the set pieces UI sometimes gets bugged and it requires resting at the default sate and then try setting it again, it could be that you encounter the UI bug.

You mean just continue the game a couple of days and try again? Its nothing too major, just the DM cant move to the other side and couple of positions in the box, only letting me have a straight line

the players positions are irrelevant the only what matters is thier "Instructions"

if you need to reset the routine then choose Reset To Default

Thanks for the reply mate.

I have been doing some experiments, changing the standard defensive line to higher and low crosses to mixed crosses on my god tier team enhance the goal scorings significantly especially on away games. Just sharing. :)

Brilliant. Appreciate the reply. Your fm19 tactics were soo good I couldn’t fail with any team.

Now I’ve started fm20 it’s following suit. I always tend to find it tricky to get players perfect for Wing back or ML and MR particularly. All going well though so far in my Aldershot save!

I've even tried to intentionally sabotage the set pieces instructions and yet my centre backs are still scoring every game lol!! I've tried changing everything I can think to and somehow they still score. Getting silly when my centre backs are 1st and 2nd goal scorers. Great stuff as always

Just out of interest. Does anyone else using TFF amazing tactics find their centre backs scoring a lot of goals (like more than the strikers lol).

Or is it just because i'm playing in the conference and defences are generally rubbish in that league?

Hi @middleweight165,

Truly sorry for the late reply (you know: Real life...)

But,no, that's really all there is to it. Balanced all season, and try to stick in a few Attacking Patient (about mid week), and Match Review (below the recovery slot, after matchdays).

Hi @patorucito7

I never change formation other than to the Shield wall when defending a lead. Actually, I find that V5 work very well playing as underdog. For me it even works better in away matches than at home.

been using this tac as Atalanta and have been dominating the entire world for 6 seasons :hammer:the only issue is that my team always draw or lose in the first match of CL whether its home or away, I can still overcome it in the second match but it still bad for my heart :kriss:

Just the 14 games without conceding a goal with Aldershot in the National Conference 😂🙈😂🙈. Insane tactic as usual. Had to intentionally sabotage the free kick an corner instructions though as one of my centre backs is on 10 goals from 16 games 😂😂😂😂. Just switched him up with a striker for a bit of realism.

when on 26 game without losing streak and only lost because I faced Everton away in the FA cup an they played a full strength team (using the updated data for up to date transfers too).

cracking stuff as always. My ML/AML has 20 assists from 21 games.

BTW my defenders are the worst part of my team ability wise so it’s crazy how much the tactic is still dominating.

Apologies for the slow reply.

I am doing absolutely nothing different except intentionally sabotaging it. Otherwise my left centre back would be on more than 11 goals by Christmas 😂😂😂!!!!

I’m using TFF latest recommended tactic, with the changes he recommends changing as he couldn’t be bothered to re upload it all. Otherwise I let the game flow an use the recommended shouts as an when. Assistant does team talks which often end in red negative feedback but that’s likely because my assistant is awful at this level.

When I get a chance I’ll upload the table with only 8 games to go. Safe to say I’m clear at the top, smashing league win records, goals scored records etc with plenty of time left. Table is ridiculous really. Only 12 goals conceded. 1 loss (an that 1 loss was 1-0 to Stockport ironically where they scored after 1 minute with their only shot of the game!). Did lose to Everton on the FA cup but with the current data download I’m using Everton’s premier league side is slightly better than my national league Aldershot side 😂. There’s a lot of unattached released premier league talent available an I’ve gone over on wage budget to sign this see of youngsters but they are doing the business. Dion McGhee has something ridiculous like 29 assists an 14 goals from AML. My striker has 24 goals an hasnt even been first choice all the season.

Nice to see that compared to the current grim reality  I'm not having any major injury issues, but I'm coming from FM19 where I think injuries were overly unrealistic so I dont know how this compares with other FM20 schedules
