Invisible Witness
Managing TFC in MLS and my leader/captain Michael Bradley's contract is set to expire at the end of the year. I'd like offer him a new contract but I can only offer up to 2.86M a year (he's making over 5M a year) . His response is that I can not meet his contract demands. I got 2 questions here: 1) How can I offer him more than 2.86M ? My wage budget remaining is 5.77M . 2) How about a "hometown discount" feature in FMM ? In real life Michael Bradley took a pay cut this year to stay with TFC. What if we had this feature in FMM for players with high loaylty, leadership? James Akintayo
The board will set a limit on wages based on their perceived value of the player, to prevent you from overpaying/spending your whole wage budget on one player. If you are struggling to sign a player due to wage budget restrictions you can try offering the player something else in return, such as a higher squad status, low release fee or a sizable signing on fee.
