caloides
At the moment and following the advises from another thread I think I achieved something more solid at the back, but I'm struggling against teams that just park the bus. Here is the tactic I'm using at the moment: As I said, I'm struggling to create chances, the right wing seems too soft, the mezzala doesn't seem to contribute much (Olmo), and the DLF (Odsonne Edouard) also. I was thinking about switching to something like the next pic, which is the roles the AI Barça used against me, and I really did like the shape and movement of the players (I don't have the same quality of players, but I have players who fit the roles). I am worried I might lose my defensive solidity so I was looking for some advise on it before trying (not save scumming, would like to avoid switching a lot). Player instructions are same as above with the following exception: DL-Cross byline (removed stay wider ->try and help with construction) Thanks for reading! The first tweak I would try is changing the mezzala's duty into attack. With FBsu and IWsu, that flank is pretty much safe, so the mezzala on attack duty should not pose a defensive problem. The left flank looks okay. You may add the "Overlap left" team instruction to make it a bit more dynamic and make the WB on support a bit more attack-minded. When it comes to instructions, you are using more than necessary IMHO. It's always better to start with fewer TIs and then gradually tweak if needed. Because when you have many, it's more difficult to figure out where the problems come from. I would start with these only: - shorter passing and play out of defense - nothing - higher DL and offside trap (same as yours) In terms of player instructions, only the split block (which you also already have) and AML/IFat can also sit narrower (also already used). DLF may be told to roam from position. And nothing else.
