Gross_Ballon
Hey guys so I've always left my profile and starting manager to balanced across all the attribute lists. figured balanced was good. How ever I started to think if I use my Assman for training do I really need to put them on Attacking/Defending or could I bring them into Mental,Tactical and working with youngsters. Then hoping onto the other side. If you never play outside of say UK you may be able to drop your Adaptability and put it towards Man Management and determination. (perfect determination allows you more success with your board room request. I assume it would help with applying to job/signing players. strong motivating could be beneficial all while adaptability is low. This is a test manager to see the difference compared to a balanced one. I will let you know how I get on. I was wondering if any one has any advice or how they set up there manager. Hovis Dexter
Personally, on the left hand side I'd reduce fitness training to 1 and increase my attacking and defending skills and I'd also reduce my WWY somewhat and, again, put the points to attacking and defending with a preference to attacking. I think it's easier to find more defensive coaches than attackers. On the right hand side I always reduce my player and youngster knowledge to 1 and always give myself a high level of discipline. BTW player and youngster knowledge only has an impact if you are playing with attributes masked. It has no impact at all if you do not have attributes masked. Welshace
Never plan to train fitness so i never put it into that... never plan to train goalkeepers, so that's out too.. adaptability is important to me only when i'm doing a journeyman save so that's usually out .. What this does for me is that it allows me to being my reputation down (and increasing the difficulty) but still have adequate training and coaching attributes
anagain
I don't usually get a lot of choice because I tend to start at the lowest level. It's a choice of where to put the 3 for me. Personally, I always feel inclined to go for man management or motivating. Technical and tactical stuff can be handled by your coaching team. A good manager is one who can understand. motivate and encourage his players to be the best they can be. Of course, at the top level you're going to want to be able to handle the tactical stuff, but don't forget the man management side of things.
FrazT
I always raise the level of discipline attribute as that will always help in dealing with the day to day complaints from your squad.
enigmatic
Arguably, Level of Discipline is the one to prioritise since it's bugged and doesn't improve properly over time and badges, and it also affects whether players moan at you or misbehave which is pretty important and afaik not something your staff can handle like teamtalks or scouting. Working with Youngsters is also bugged if you're being relied on for youth coaching. LoD and Motivating slightly boost your coaching effectiveness across all categories as well as being useful for dealing with players [as does Determination] so don't think you're massively losing out on coaching by boosting them either. The usefulness of Judging CA/PA depends a lot on how much you manually scout for players [and is pointless if you turn off attribute masking] On the coaching side you should probably pick one area to specialise in [unless you're a massively overqualified manager in lower divisions]. If you have enough points to make you a supercoach, I'd probably aim to specialise in Possession Technical training [which trains Dribbling, First Touch, Passing, Heading and Technique] by maxing out Coaching Mental and Coaching Technical. For comparison purposes, specialising in Defending Technical would mean your excellent contribution to the coaching would only help improve players' Marking and Tackling, which isn't even that useful for half your player. And hiring fairly good goalkeeper and fitness coaches is easy at most levels.
