Blank Database or regens from outset

Hi all,

Due to the fact I have knowledge of the real life player current abilities and potential abilities, due to using them for another hobby of mine (specifically football index betting), I was interested in using the "use fake players" option for the first time in FM2020.

However, I have read up on this feature and it appears that this simply randomises player names/nationalities etc. and the players are effectively very similar - for example I have already found a "Danish Pogba" at Man United with a very similar DOB, attributes and his preferred teams are Juve and Man United. 

I know that I could holiday the game for 20 years for example, but i'd really like to start in 2019 with a "fictional database" of sorts. I know this may not be possible in a conventional way but is there another way around this? I basically want a database where I can't identify the players from real life, but still a realistic one where better players have been generated at better teams from the outset etc. 

I discovered this thread from 2013 where there have been plenty of responses on the topic, but none specific to 2020 and I wondered if there is anyone like me, who has maybe got a solution!! If there is a way to "delete" all players and create a blank database in the editor for example, I'd love to know how.

There where database like that in the past, but it does not really work well in the game. The main problem is that players with high ratings do not join a club without players similar to them. If all clubs have empty squads a the start the top players simply not join a club.

I see, OK, thanks Kubi. So if I am still wanting to play a save without any "real life" players, or indeed their similar counterparts on the "use fake players" feature; would you suggest the best thing to do would be to go on holiday for circa 20 years?

I think ten years is enough. You will still have some real players in the game, but the majority are newgens.
