Craduco
Hello, What is the fastest way to get full knowledge of a player? In my current save it really differs from player to player, some take a few weeks and others can take months. At the moment I have set it so scouts scout a player Until Full Knowledge but in my scoutingcentrum most players are still being scouten for 1 week. So my question is; what is the fastest way to get all the stats of a player and how do I set this up? Many thanks in advance.
Haiku
It depends on the scouting knowledge the club and the scout has for this particular country the player is based in and the assigned scout JPA JPP attributes. The heigher these are, the faster the player will be scouted until full knowledge.

Should I manually assign a scout to a player or does clicking the scout button above a players profile assign the best fitting scout automatically? And why do my scouts scout players for 1 week while I set it to Untill Full Knowledge in the responsibilities screen?
anagain
If the player is out of contract offer them a trial. You'll get their scouts within a few days. You also get to watch them play. 3 hours ago, Craduco said: Should I manually assign a scout to a player or does clicking the scout button above a players profile assign the best fitting scout automatically? And why do my scouts scout players for 1 week while I set it to Untill Full Knowledge in the responsibilities screen? There are further options on the scouting main screen. Just below the blue banner there is a preferences toggle. Open that and there's a few options to fiddle with. Clicking the 'scout' button will manually assign a member of your scouting team to that player. If you have a chief scout you can set them to be in charge of scouting assigments, but they will scout players you ask to be scouted. If you want someone scouted in a hurry, you can mouse over reports on their player window and ask any of your staff to scout them for a week plus or just a number of matches. If you have an assistant with good scouting abilities (judging player potential and ability) you can send them to watch a player, for example. You can also speed up the time within which a player is scouted by going to scouting -> Assigments -> Scout Priorities. Just slide players up and down the list with the priority toggle to the left. Thanks, this really cleared things up for me. I have a few questions; I like to control everything including my scouting, so if I want the quickest result I should manually assign a scout instead of just clicking the Scout Player button? And if I would tell my scout to scout for example in South-America, can I still let him scout other players that I find or will that effect his work scouting players in South-America? To be honest, I don't know how deep it goes. There are adaptability stats for each staff member, and that will assess how well they move from task to task. I'm inclined to say that if you have a scout in S America and ask him to scout someone in Blackpool then it's goign to disrupt his S American scouting mission. Ideall have a scout for regions. That will depend who you are managing, of course. As for whether assigning a scout as opposed to clicking the scout button makes a difference...well I don't know. I suspect the game will just assign the first scout on a rotation basis. What you can do is assign a chief scout to take control of assigments and then give him scouting focuses on the blue banner at the top of the scouting window. I'm only Bangor and can only scout Wales, so it makes sense to just let my chief scout assign scouts. But, for a bigger club, you would still have a means to suggest where to scout (league, nation etc) but can let your chief handle who does what. What I used to do when I was at a club with more scouts was give each a nickname and send them off to certain areas. I could then easily pick them to sign a particular player in the menus. E.g. Bob Scott(N.Europe) may have a mission in Scandinavia, but should I hear of a player in Germany I can give him a minor mission to scout that player. I suspect that even if you devise the missions, the chief scout will pick the best player if you just choose 'scout this guy'. Certainly make use of the priority sliders. A new target will always go to the bottom, behind players that are being re-scouted. Lastly, if you have a lot of time you can even click on a match and go watch a player yourself. Just click the v on the fixture.

Or what exactly is the difference with me taking full control? Sorry my English is not the best.

I don't know for certain, but chief scouts have always listened to my short term focus instructions, so I bet they will obey long term focus instructions. Sometimes it just takes a bit of fiddling and experiementing to find the best scouting outcome. I just think that regardless of who is in charge of scouting, you can still ask them to scout specific players. Good luck with the search. Don't forget your Director of Football though. I've gotten some great suggestions from mine.

anagain
I've never been in a position to use a data analyst, but I believe it's an extra scouting tool that will give you more information. It might make scouting a player faster and improve how that players is rated. I just do a lot of scouting
Etebaer
Loan a Player when possible if you dont have to pay Wages and make the loan so you can cancel it - also Trials are usually quite quick in revealing stats compared to Scouting.
