UKFA Posted January 26, 2020 Share Posted January 26, 2020 TBH I'm not sure how the licensing works, but I've never understood why football games didn't include the data from previous games. For example in FM20 imagine being able to pick a year and load the teams from that year. So for example if Barca were licensed in FM17 and not in FM20, you'd surely still have the rights to use the Barca data from that previous game? Also there's so much work involved in collecting data for each game, it's a shame it all just gets thrown out for the next edition. There will obviously be changes to attributes, so for example if they add a 'diving propensity' to the database they will have top go back and add that for all previous players, so that is the downside, but imo well worth it for the possibilities it opens up.
