Guest
I thought yoou'd like it. Wasn't written by me though, (far too funny). I found ut while researching my new story about a Scottish Football team that folded in 1966 and who were founder members of the Scottish League. Find my story here., (blatant plug ). Raptor
Bleh, we've had ten million stories about Thirds already. But we're still waiting for someone to write something decent, interesting and funny about a certain team that went out of business in 1949.

Harleqin
Oh good. i found a thread designed for what I need right now A few questions: 1) Where did the bloody HoF go? 2) What exactly is the Lisbon Lions challenge? (Too lazy to search for it) 3) I forgot 4) Is anyone up for a online CM3 01/02 game, latest update and used for a story. Four players max. 5) Why can't I remember number 3? 6) When do I get a new status?
Harleqin
Ohhh.... I just remembered an idea I had the other day. You make two teams each with two players. Both teams play an online game. Same game version, same patch and same updated database. The point is that the two teams have to manage the same clubs. This would make it possible to follow what starts almost identically, but see how the decisions of one human manager is different from the other managing the same team and then see how it makes it different. You could also make some kind of competition out of it
Educated Hick
I'd be willing to try an online game Jesper. The trick is setting up times and such. The HOF was accidently deleted by Duffy and the LL challenge is to take a Scots club and win the CL with an All-Scots lineup all season.

SI
Haw, i'll just do a introduction then Names Simon, i'm 16 years old and i reside in lovely Danemarca err... thats about it / Been lurking a bit for some time, no finished stories under the belt so far, but i've begun my first one, a tale about Cubukspor of the Turkish 2. Bazza
Quick question gang? And sorry if i have posted in the wrong place. How does the story of the week thing work ? It's mine this week and just asking how it becomes the one for the week? Also can it be won twice in a row etc..etc..?
Brian of Nazareth
There's a CMS/FMS Panel, which consists of a few award winners and a couple of the board voted in each year or something like that. Then it's a straight vote. Just once for each is the rule though it's not uncommon for a vote to have been missed and a story stays up for more than the 1 week. Harleqin
PLAYERS WANTED I am looking for 1-4 players interested in a multiplayer story. The game will start in August and be played on CM 01/02 as it is the fastest and most stable. All participants will be required to write a story about it. The story will most likely be kept to one thread unless Raptor will allow me to open 2-5 seperate threads for it. Playing time will most likely be twice a week if possible. I am aiming for Sunday evening from around 7pm CET (6pm BST) and, if possible, Tuesday or Wednesday evening. All player will be required to update their part of the story before the next session. If one player can't make it he will be placed on holiday for that session. If two players are out then we will have a vote, but most likely wait a week. I will host the game. Saves be be made for every two weeks of game time to protect against crashes. Particularly as my connection is sometimes a little dodgy. Should someone else like to host, then the person is welcome, but he/she MUST be able to see the game through. The game will be held in England starting in Division 2 or lower. All participants should have ICQ or MSN for easier communication during the game. All applicants please post here or contact me by mail, ICQ or mail. Harleqin.
Harleqin
Shoot. It should read that if less than half the players can't play they'll be put on holiday. If half can't play we'll have a vote on as to have that session and if a majority cant, then the session will be cancelled.
Terk
i'm definitely interested, but not sure if i'll be able to guarantee being available. (i'll probably be able to say for definite in the next week or so) if i were to play, then wednesday would be the better mid-week evening for me. Harleqin
We'll have a look at how interest is generated here and then get it thoroughly discussed. Hopefully it will be possible to complete a month during a session.

OMDave
Wish I could join in, but I'll be all over the place in August and September (in more ways than one, presumably...). Great idea Jesper, good luck with this. Like your Groningen report too (cheers Mark ), though your memory seems to be playing tricks with you on a few points... I'll try and write my side of the story over the next few days. If it's half as entertaining as Simon's, it'll be worth it...
Terk
very enjoyable write up, jesper. though as dave said your memory seems a bit dodgy (he beat you in the final game of pool, not me) and glad you were impressed by my 'technical' football skills
Raptor
Actually, Jesper sent me an e-mail asking to correct that before I put the report up. I forgot to change it though, because putting all required HTML tags in took my full concentration.

Talk about long time. Nice to see your story writing is going still and you trying to keep order in here <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Life would be so much nicer if a certain example of the female species would see things the way I see them. I think I'll just rename my story "The Neverending Story" cos it was meant to be rounded off late 2003, now it's 2004, but somehow, I doubt I'll get the remaining seasons in before the end of the calendar year. As for keeping order here: that's the easy part, as CMS/FMS is still the self-moderating unit it was before BTW, you (Chelsea) will really enjoy the coming season, having signed the best player Groningen's ever produced, Arjen "Lord of the Wings" Robben.
