When are goalkeeper going to stop ignoring the distribution instructions

Recommended Posts

Enough is enough

I want to know what the point is in adding Distribution instructions for keepers when it will be ignored???????

Have SI explained why these things get ignored?

It's something thats been going on for years

Why do they not sort out these chronic snags instead of introducing all these add ons which aren't imperative

The keeper has 2 center backs to the left but he plays a long ball to a small cam.

If you instruct your keeper to play short passes to the centre backs, what if the centre backs are being marked by opposing forwards? Then the goal keeper may decide to punt it long because playing a short pass would be too risky.

Edit: if your keeper were to play short passes to either of those centre backs, it looks like it may get intercepted because the opposition are close to your defenders

All three of them are centrebacks

The 2 to the left that ball is deffo not getting intercepted

But when keepers are under pressure they kick the ball out of play or towards the strikers
