All signings up to Carr where made before my arrival. I can't believe a club of this size wasted £1m on Campbell. He is at best average. You have already seen the first couple of signings so will start after.

image.thumb.png.defc5bf1c29e4f4a2240a1c5bbc53127.png

Patricio is a loan signing from Juve. A fantastic player for our level and is already one of the best players in our team!

image.thumb.png.31ddc7292734235414eb384b423c20db.png

Gadjimuradov comes in from Angers in France for 200k. 5 star potential and already good enough to start for us. Another smart signing!

image.thumb.png.53078241713e9c46c0efb21551930156.png

Petriccione is another loan signing from Italy coming in from Empoli. A solid player in the middle of the pitch where we didn't have much!

image.thumb.png.4d95c5ea248e6042dd5b5331caa4085b.png

Zouaoui is another loan signing coming from Marseille. He will be our best striker at the club and should run riot at this level. Hopefully fire us to some points in the Euro Cup!

image.thumb.png.02cf21cd396bced5d5a809f23aadd374.png

Boza will partner Zouaoui whilst we also try and get Lunney some time to develop in the league and smaller cups.

image.thumb.png.381a8df595d21b8bff5c05f95aa4b59d.png

Noce was a small risk. At only 13k he also has 4 star potential so at the very least we could potentially sell for a profit down the line.

image.thumb.png.42c830e6413ea9b43d975572600d1a51.png

This is my favourite signing. Coming from Dortmund Hubert will be a fantastic signing. Will utilise him out wide as we are shorter there. He cost me half of what Campbell cost!

100% in the league, most new signings where made just after these games, I am expecting a comfortable league win although I hope Larne push us.

League Table

image.thumb.png.24de7732f3261d282f2783bcfea03a07.png

The top 3 would be the 3 I expect to be there or thereabouts. Both ourselves and Larne with 100% records currently.

Another solid month with just the one expected defeat!

League Table

image.thumb.png.3b5a46bf78b9b825275dab0f4988c92c.png

We are 9 for 9 in the league with Larne our closest rivals and we have already beaten them comfortably away from home.

Euro Cup

image.thumb.png.16141eb6db6c56a8248da1eb3f513863.png

We put up a great fight away at Wolfsburg scoring an impressive 3 goals. However they are just simply too good for us and deserved their victory.

Wee Jimbo

Wee Jimbo got off the mark in the comfortable win over Crusaders.

An absolutely mental month where we played on average every 2.8 days! However it was a perfect month with plenty of rotation in those matches against much weaker opposition.

League Table

image.thumb.png.48345ddd6966ac8158af69b281a1dfbc.png

We have beaten Larne twice now and it is the only 2 games they have lost! I expect us to keep up this form in the league. We are comfortably the best side.

Domestic Cups

One of the things I love about NI is the amount of random cups! We played in 3 domestic cups this month, we have reached the quarter final of the Tunnocks Wafer Cup where we play Dunfermline. We play Larne in the semi final of the County Antrim Shield and have Portawdown in the Bet McLean Cup quarter finals.

Euro Cup

image.thumb.png.4520428e7b1dd4fede5fe8bd455f9d71.png

Wee Jimbo

The wee man got 4 goals this month all from the spot taking him up to 5 for the season!

Nice to see you back in N. Ireland :D, Linfield are loaded 💰💰💰 !!

Have they had a takeover as that is quite a large balance if they haven't made it into the Champions League group stage.

It always astounds me how poor the AI can be when it comes to squad building. Why do they restrict themselves to only buying from the UK which is the most expensive market when they could find much better value if they looked elsewhere like you have done. The team you have built looks really strong for the level which should enable you to win the DBP relatively easily.

Btw, how's Distillery been doing?

A consortium take over which I presume is the reason! Yeah those players are ridiculously good for this level. I am not sure at which level I will move on elsewhere. Will just take it as it comes.

Distillery has bounced back and forth between the Intermediate league and the Championship!

It is as you were in the league. Us 6pts clear of Larne!

The domestic cups continue to pile the fixtures up. In the County Antrim Shield we will play Crusaders in the final. In the Bet McLean Cup semi final has drawn us against Larne!

Euro Cup

We are through with a game to play and I will rotate the whole 11 for the last game. A fantastic season in Europe no matter what we do in the knockout stages!

Euro Cup

Transfers

Playing at this level it will be easy to bring a lot of foreigners in (which I will) but we also have to be careful that we meet European restrictions on home grown players. With that in mind I have brought 2 more young prospects in.

image.thumb.png.6362a6c36ec08d028c6a29f1ba53ea8c.png

Lowe comes in from Glenavon for only 10k. Really nice stats an potential for this level!

image.thumb.png.148ed3601ae91eb209a12d933c5e7f67.png

Edgar comes in from our rivals Larne for 170k. A pacy full back with really nice mental stats!

I might be silly in asking this but have you ever managed Lisburn Distillery F.C.?

If not, then go ffor that, if yes, how long ago in the game? If you have done well with them in the past then maybe go to another European lowest league and bring them up to UCL Glory. Or how about the worst club in Europe and bring them up to UCL Glory?

Another option would be to create a club, and put them in place of the worst club in England, sack all the players and hire all players with the worst stats and start with little to no money in the bank. That would be a massive task right there.

By the way, with Doncaster Rovers, i'm in the EPL :)

I now have the players I want to hunt for EPL Glory. Of course if my scouts find a real gem, I will bring him in ASAP and sell the player in his position for a profit. No matter the club, even a rival. Yes, I'm still always checking on LFC but they seem to always finish top 3, 2nd or 3rd and Klopp has a contract till end of June 2026. I'm in September 2021.

January Transfers

Out

image.thumb.png.fd61b4e3376ee5f6abde0da1f5929b29.png

We sold 4 players in the January transfer window. Parkhouse and Smyth were both squad players but nearly 30, so sold them on and got them off the wage budget. Taylor wasn't good enough and left on a free. Lyons started most of our games this season but was nearly 30 and 150k with sell on clauses as well is a nice chunk of money.

McConnachie comes in on loan from Rangers. we are pretty stacked up top but with some of them being utilised on the wings it can only help! Scopes comes in to replace Lyons. A good option!

Former Clubs This Season

Distillery

image.thumb.png.778814eba7217cf67116a90fea33e8f0.png

Distillery finished a very respectable 4th in the Championship!

Lowestoft

image.thumb.png.964fdb37fd9caeaabd46825d31fc00e8.png

My new club finished 19th in the league mainly saved by the goals on loan Mark Gibbs scored (he was league 2 top goalscorer)

Middlesbrough

image.thumb.png.71ad2f64bddbc8e75988be7923103e50.png

A solid mid table season for Boro who went out early in both cups!

Chelsea

image.thumb.png.d5b5792d55543b8b19078f1951c66ca0.png

Chelsea couldn't retain the PL but they did win the CL again with an extra time win over the new PL winners Spurs! They once again also played Bayer en route to the final!

Just like your previous post about being unsure on your next job in the game, I am unsure with Doncaster Rovers. 3 years in charge. Got the team I want. Lost interest a little bit. Always eventually want to manage my Liverpool club. But my next club I do want to manage a big club in the Champions League, if in England only Liverpool. But I'm ok with managing the big clubs in Spain, Italy, Germany or France.

Wow! After my first season in the EPL with Doncaster Rovers, LFC might sack Klopp! in 3 seasons LFC have finished 2nd all 3 times. This season they made the UCL QF's, Lost 4th round of FA Cup and lost in the Carabao Cup Final. O course I said I'm interested in the job if it became available LOL but I'll stick with Doncaster or go for a Massive club outside of England. Not getting the LFC job wont worry me

A really solid return in our first month!

League Table

image.thumb.png.4caea191c1b81392703b539943e0fd06.png

We sit top of the table. Our first team is good enough to challenge but any 3 or 4 injuries could really derail us and we have already had Gibbs out for 7 weeks and he is our main striker.

Domestic Cups

Out of the Carabao Cup with a heartbreaking 92nd minute goal by Gillingham.

Transfers

image.thumb.png.5b99e0a058b887d6262e98758e5f758b.png

League Table

image.thumb.png.aade1eeec3033f94ae9690e3a1d1b02d.png

We sit 2nd in the league behind Oldham. An automatic promotion spot would be an amazing season for us! And with how quickly we are losing money again  we probably need it. We are within our wage budget but leaking around 70k a month and we have 3 loans to pay off!

League Table

image.thumb.png.fb0c4be3eb1c58453aca0dfe1947156d.png

Still in the automatic promotion spots and we have a game in hand. We are still losing a lot of money a month. so a run in the FA Cup would be a massive bonus!

Former "Wonderkid" Signings Boro Part 1

Having a look back at the young players brought in at Boro and Chelsea lets see how they have progressed since I left the clubs!

The Americans

image.thumb.png.85f5947480a2306069c58799058deebf.pngimage.thumb.png.f5a93fc43465f8d37a70230db91b2e43.pngimage.thumb.png.6f7c9f9cd7ff2e0262c4dc46a54c7dcc.pngimage.thumb.png.e0ecb7216bdc76fa02578313f4fbe4e6.pngimage.thumb.png.f1598af0808e2292cd4cc910e1708383.png

Flores is probably the standout player here. Having not gotten a work permit he ended up back in the US firstly at Minnesota and now at Atlanta. Worth over £4m he has 13 caps for the US. Bueno ended up back in the MLS with Vancouver before being traded to New York Red Bulls. Worth over £4m as well he hasn't got a cap for the US team yet. Wills spent 3 seasons on loan at Ituano before moving to Brazil permanently. He is in his 2nd season at SEP now! Jimenez joined Qarabag on a free from Boro and has been consistently scoring since. Surprisingly no caps for the senior national team! Pearson didn't really develop in the end and ended up back in the US with Texas. A mediocre player at MLS level!

The Flops

image.thumb.png.c317f7ac4a492df2a67bc04c8552cbab.pngimage.thumb.png.121c6306b1afc066313bee3536094e54.pngimage.thumb.png.50626103bfd96cadd25089cbf347ebb7.pngimage.thumb.png.e8e9747ccbc182eeb057b349a51f5001.pngimage.thumb.png.d54063dda4bd25e9e96eaf5201f17c7f.png

Karahasanovic I thought was going to our main signing when I first came in. How wrong I was. He has never kicked on and developed, going on loan a couple of times before joining Birmingham on a free this season. Kang was unfortunate as he got a bad injury early in his Boro career and was sold to Midtjylland soon after. Lefort came in with big potential but never fulfilled it and ended up moving to Hull for only 275k which is over a £3m loss! Broll was a risky one and it definitely backfired. Multiple loans and no development later he was sold to Heidenheim in the Bundesliga 2 for £375k. Toumagnon again hasn't really developed and moved to Porto for 250k and was immediately sent out on loan again.

The Successes

All 5 still at the club! Ghalem is a solid centre half but he hasn't developed to the levels I thought he would. He was consistently in the first team until this season. He is now transfer listed and has a value of £13m. Galves I am simply putting in here for the 2 great seasons he had under me. He is out on loan now at Vallecano but has been a solid servant. Verde wasn't really a wonderkid but he deserves to be here. He has over 10 goals in each PL season he has been there and a bargain at £5m. Hlozek has been a consistent first team player and is now valued over £25m! Millot was a big money signing and whilst he hasn't developed to a top quality player he is worth over £30m and has made over 30 appearances every season for the club.

Bozovic is the biggest success story as expected. He was outstanding for Boro before Monaco bought him for nearly £40m (£30m profit). Now worth close to £50m and on 120k pw! Hafsteinsson was one of the first signings I made for £2.8m. He has developed a lot and is one of Boro's main players and is worth nearly £19m now!

The Flops

Buarque always had great physical qualities however the rest didn't really develop and he was sold to Atlanta for just £3.9m. Carroll is a debatable one however for the amount spent on him he hasn't really developed any further and has has poor seasons since I have left.

To Be Determined

Gaucho seems to be developing nicely having a successful loan in Portugal and now in France. Jonathan was meant to be the superstar signing however 2 major injuries seems to have stifled his development. Eduardo is developing nicely but really needs game time. Arancibia probably should be in the successes however at 54m he should have done more. Still time to be a success.

Mimi has developed into a top quality centre back and is one of Brazil's starting centre backs. Jimbodinho is a very solid keeper who surprisingly hasn't been called up to the senior team yet! He has won 2 CL's at Chelsea and is still their number 1. Naldinho has developed nicely and is also now in Brazil's starting team. Still Chelsea's starting right back

Frederico is an absolute world beater. For some reason they sold him to one of their big rivals in Man Utd for £96m! Caudeville was our main man in the full season I spent at Chelsea and it is no surprise that he is a global superstar now.

2-0 down and being pummelled we decided at half time to push a bit further forward and wow what a comeback. Stunning from our young side!

Results

image.thumb.png.7bfb3e15ed0980e6158174fc5784aaa9.png

Another really good month, we struggled a bit at the end in the league however I did rotate a tad with one eye on the FA Cup!

League Table

We are 7 points clear and a huge 17 points clear of 4th! Hopefully promotion won't be too far away!

Domestic Cup

A stunning performance in the FA Cup means we are in the quarter final!
