Name not shown during the match for created player

Hi folks, I’ve come back to the game after a afew years away - apparently I’ve more free time these days to devote to the game during isolation.

 

Essentially I’ve used the editor and created a player however rather than his name being displayed during the match, the number 21 is being shown. All other players have their names shown and it really is bugging the life out of me. Can anyone with experience tell me where in the editor I missed when creating the player?

On occasion a players name isn't show. This seems to be a sort of bug, but I haven't go a clue what it causing it.

A possible solution: use the in game editor, if you have it, to edit the name. The other one would be to use the pre game editor and put a name on his jersey.

Thanks for replying. In the pregame editor, where is the option to put a name on jersey?
