First names like Erich, Volker, Herbert, Reinhart, Walter, Alfred, Wolfgang, Detlef or Norbert are antiquated, yet they pop up on every german youth team. From 2010 to 2019 there are only about 100 newborns with the name of Wolfgang for example, which makes about 10 per year. I highly doubt that all of them turn out to be footballing prospects. This kills a lot of immersion. The most common names can be found on the internet.
