dysonpaul724 Posted July 31, 2020 Share Posted July 31, 2020 When agreeing a contract with a new club can a date other than Immediate be chosen as a start date? On 2 occasions I have agreed a deal with a club on a match day so have a game within a few hours of taking over. Be good to start on a Monday after a weekend fixture or the following morning after a might game. Otherwise no time to sort training or backroom staff and if I lose the match, it goes on my record. The other alternative is that you can ask the current assistant manager to take charge of the match, team talk and subs for that one game.
