One thing that catches my eye in today's football is that in comparison to the late 90s or early 2000s, the players stay in the game longer. There are so many players in the top teams playing from 33 to 36, 37 even. I am looking at Real Madrid for example, Modric is 35, Ramos is 34 and Benzema is 33. They are the leading players of a champion team. In the game however, the players especially after 32 drop significantly so quickly.
