scythian12
It would be nice to be able to define an algorithm, as it were, for the choosing of set-piece takers, instead of manually choosing for each formation and tactic and side and posititon from the list of first team players - which needs to be redone for every blimmin' entry every transfer period when players come and go - it is extremely-extremely tedious. Instead, it would be a system where you could define traits and weighings (say, in two levels), the computer would then calculate automatically who should be taking the kick from the players on the field. It would take a bit longer to set up first, but possibly these could be saved along or separately from tactics for convenience, hence only set up once and for all). For instance, for right corner taker: Corners - important Technique - important left foot - important concentration - slightly important crossing - slightly important decisions - slightly important exclude defenders+gk The program would calculate each player's score by adding the trait values for important stats and half the values for slightly important stats, the highest total score from the squad on the pitch 'wins' and gets to take the set-piece. The player gets to customise the list of traits and their weighings and also which positions to exclude. (Another pain point of mine: I might have a player who is an excellent wing player but is also a decent wingback, so might employ him there occasionally, but in such cases he should not be allowed to take a corner because he needs to be back covering at half-pitch) Surely not too complicated instead of the current pita...
