cant play game

ive installed the game, and played it for a little while, but as soon as it came to the first game, it said something about an error to do with volume, or sound, or something and closed the game down. i tried to restart the game and it jsut says, error, game is already running. is it? if so, where can i find it? beyond the obvious places. or, how can i start a new game?

any help would be appreciated

Ctrl+Alt+Delete > Task Manager

Click the Processes tab. Highlight fm.exe and click 'End Process'. Don't worry about the warning that pops up and just click 'Yes'.

Direct Sound Error

1. Disable sound in Preferences

or

2. Update your sound drivers

or

3. Play in windowed mode

I'm getting a message that says: "Direct Sound error -2004287480" when entering a match.

• Potential workaround:
  - Update your sound card drivers or disable in game sound.
  - To disable sound:
  - Go to the Preferences screen ('Options' -> 'Preferences').
  - Go to the 'Display & Sound' section.
  - In the 'Sound Settings' area, deselect 'Play Sounds' and confirm your changes.
  - You should also ensure your DirectX is up to date.
  - Install the Microsoft DirectX re-distributable package from here:
