as-well
Hi! Given that real-life football journalism is gradually moving towards using advanced statistics such as expected goals (xG), would it be possible to implement such statistics in FM, too? xG would be rather helpful, I imagine, to many users (if explained well) to see issues with their attacking and defensive phases, and it would probably help some new users whose tactics create tons and tons of chances, but in bad position. A frequent issue on the support fora and groups is that users don't undrestand how their team had 30 shots but lost 0-1. This understanding could easily be enhanced with xG. if it told you that your 30 shots only amounted to 0.9 xG, but your opponent's two shots were in such good situations that that it should average to 1.2 xG, it's very intuitive assume your chances were all from bad positions. Someone made some suggestion how to manually implement it in FM (or something alike): https://dictatethegame.com/2019/09/27/getting-expected-goals-or-xg-into-fm19/#:~:text=xG%20or%20expected%20goals%20is,to%20result%20in%20a%20goal. and I think a similar approach could be easily implemented by the developers.
