FM09 3D Kits - Template Here

Folks - I have bodged up a template to make 3D kits for FM2009.

I have created and tested kits for Arsenal ONLY, and they work OK on both the info screen and in match - see the screenies.

The download will give you the template, the config and instructions where to stick it. IT IS NOT A COMPLETE PREMIERSHIP KIT PACK - I have neither the time nor the ability to create a proper one. I did it 'cos I needed to make some 3D kits for the team I've added into the db for my own game.

Hopefully one of the graphics whizzes can pick this up and develop it to it's full potential.

looks great!!

but using that, u will lose the mix kits right?(eg: arsenal using red socks)

The socks are on the right hand side of the .png - whatever you put there, that's what the players are wearing. Because there is a specific png for the kit texture, rather than using the default, then it ignores any colours/recolouring that would happen using the default 3D kits.

I know it's difficult to see on the screenie, but they are wearing white socks with a red band round about half way up (the logo is too small to be visible at all). If this part of the png was bright green it would show as bright green on the match screen.

Shirt sponsors actually show on the players shirts, but in many cases the detail is just too fine to actually make out. If you see one of the Arsenal players in a full frontal view you can just make out there is something white on the front of the shirt.

Great work!

as far as I know that's not possible... :(

i think all we need is to find out whats the comand for it...like we know that to add the home kit u have to map the texture u want to "home" in the config, so we need to know whats the comand line for gk kits, could as well be "goalkeeper" or somethin like that..

also we need to figure out whats the command line for the mixed kits, like when man utd play with their black shorts...cause i noticed after adding those arsenal kits that when arsenal must use their red sock the game doesnt load up the kit, and it uses the default kits once again, meaning that this kit is problaby read by the game with a command other than "home"

ive made everton kits...

really bad quality since i suck on PS...

well me and a brazilian friend are starting to make a brazilian kit pack(for the 1st div only)

we will be done in a week i think

now the problem is that a lot of teams have kit mix, like man utd using their black shorts, and when that happens the game doesnt load your real kits....so the way to disable this kit mixing is to edit your teams colors in the pre game editor... in utd example just set a red a bit diferent from the default one, and do the same for the other kits....this will disable the kit mixing, so utd will aways use the real kits.

here are everton kits i made:

hopefully the comunity can start loving this 3d kits too, cause right now seems every kit maker didnt like this and will continue to make those 2d kits, that imo are a waste, since u can only see them in the information screen. 3d kits imo is a lot more important since thats what your players will wear during the macth... i play in a 32 inch lcd tv, and on tv view i can see pretty well my kits, so i really think its worth it to make those...

it may be possible to change goalie textures.

ive been looking through the folders and ive come across a goalie folder in:

data/sigfx/meshes/

goalie.jpg

Good find!

However I tried almost everything, but just editing the .png does not work.

For example, I would edit the png to an all-black kit, but in the 3D match the goalie would have a half green-half black kit!

There must be something else we're missing :/

hey i've started and half way through a premier league kit pack for the EPL but need some help in requiring assets. trying to do asw much in vector and will supply .psd files for everyone so that logos can be changed around if people aren't happy with their teams current sponsors. i need a few things to finish. oh and also comes with congig for your documents folder to add kits into the game. so if anyone know where to find the logos listed below i can finish the set. i've been using brandsoftheworld.com but they don't have the below logos. thanks in advance guys

crown paints logo - blackburn

thomas cook.com - man city

jjb sports - wigan

northern rock - newcastle

boylesports - sunderland

mansions - tottenham

karoo - hull city

also haven't been able to find bolton's new 3rd kit as yet on the web (the purple one) but it's listed in the game so if anyone have picture of it that's be great as well? now i've tried to recreate these as accurate as possible but due to time restrictions and the fact the the details on shorts and socks get lost in the 3d game i've left out some of the fiddilly detail.

also want to know where is the best place to host this?
