CPU wise it's well above the recommended, GPU wise it's on par with the recommended.

It's worth mentioning that FM's system requirements haven't moved much in years before FM25, so it wouldn't be a massive surprise for FM's system requirements to stay fairly steady for a few years from FM25 onwards.

Thanks Kev, exactly what I wanted to hear. Purchase has been made!

I'm pretty much the same as the previous poster.

I usually run around 10-13 leagues as well, but with a large custom database. Also a lot of custom graphics such as logos and facepacks and all that. I play matches in 3d with high graphics.

Looking for a new laptop that I'll almost exclusively use for FM. Still playing FM24, obviously, but I really want it to be ready for FM25 onwards, without comprising any of the above.

My budget is around €1000, think that's around £800?

Would greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks!

For FM24 modern integrated graphics are fine, but you'll likely need dedicated graphics for FM25. In that price point you'll find the Nvidia RTX 4600 or (less commonly) the AMD RX 7700. Either would be fine. Generally they will come with i7 or Ryzen 7 processors. I looked up a retailer in what I guessed was your region and found these:

https://www.mediamarkt.be/fr/promo-list/bf_laptops_w45_49_be?query=bf_laptops_w45_49_be&filter=graphicsCard:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060&filter=currentprice:849-1000

Probably there are better deals to be found, but these would be a starting point

Based on the min specs an integrated graphics card will likely be ok for low settings for 3D or not playing 3D matches

But if you want to play 3D settings on max and also good for futureproofing for 5-7 generations of FM into FM30+
Then a dedicated graphics would be better.

Hi, how would this laptop run fm 24

Intel core i5 6300u

2.40ghz max 3.0ghz

8gb ram

It'll run FM24.  Won't be particularly quick in terms of processing and you'll probably need to use lower graphics presets.  But definitely more than enough to run the game.

That is equal to the stuff I'm seeing at Currys for the same price, so I'd say price-wise it's pretty much spot on.  Decent spec.

Hey guys, seen a laptop at Currys for around £350. Asus Vivobook 15, 12th gen i512500H  https://www.currys.co.uk/products/asus-vivobook-15-oled-a1505za-15.6-laptop-intel-core-i5-512-gb-ssd-silver-10270679.html?sv1=affiliate&sv_campaign_id=47868&awc=1599_1732103436_3d90ef305be41539e0271699c54ff5ef&srcid=369&xtor=AL-1&cmpid=aff~HotUKDeals~Discount Code~47868~Atolls+-+Community+-+UK&sv1=affiliate&sv_campaign_id=47868

My current laptop Asus FX504 has an 8th gen i5 8300H. Would it be a good upgrade in processing speed for around 100k players and 10-15 leagues? I only use 2d so not bothered about graphics, just want it to fly! Was wondering if it was worth selling mine if possible and upgrading to this? Thank you!

It's a better processor - we cannot comment on the performance of database sizes or leagues loaded - what's slow for me might be fast for you.

However it should manage ok - it would also depend how many seasons you play - I play about 30-40 seasons and there's a significant slowdown as the years go on

There's only an integrated GPU so if you play 3d matches it would be best on low settings.

Hi everyone been looking for a laptop for ages now and just want to get the right one for fm24/fm25 etc that will run decent graphics, won’t be too slow and can run maybe 10-15 leagues don’t know if im seeming optimistic with all of those requirements but the laptop would be mainly for fm but my budget would only be 500-600 or below as since my last laptop broke I’ve been playing fm24 on Xbox and it’s just not hitting the same. Seen what you guys can do for ppl on this thread so thought I’d finally ask for myself any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Can only find something like this https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/asus-tuf-a17-amd-ryzen-5-16gb-512gb-rtx-2050-144hz-17.3-inch-windows-11-hom-fa706nf-hx006w/version.asp

It's 17 inch screen so would be quite large for travel - but as a desktop replacement it would be fine.

You need to concentrate on processors that en in H (not U)

And graphics card 1650 and up

Minimum 16gb RAM

That was the only website I checked - but if you stick to that formula

There were some Medion computers but people have warned here about the build quality so I didn't include them.

Not that they are to be avoided, but if you can get better then why not.

I have 0 clue and nobody can tell you how happy you'd be with the settings at highest level or just below.

It all depends on the person and what they like. It's subjective.

I play 30+ seasons and it slows down a lot.

You might play 10 seasons and not see the slow down.

It's all up to the individual and how they feel about lag/slowness/quickness.

Einstein once said “sit with a pretty girl for an hour and it feels like a minute; sit on a hot stove for a minute and it feels like many hours. That's relativity”.

Hi All, laptop recently gave up the ghost so looking to buy a new one however I have no idea about laptop specs etc. Has anyone spotted any Black Friday deals in the Uk ideally under £500 which could run fm24 smoothly/quickly?

Ideally on a large database with around 10 leagues loaded. Not too fussed about graphics as largely play in 2D with 3D for highlights only. I saw this which looked promising based on RAM and processor speed but no idea if the processor itself is any good? https://amzn.eu/d/29U6bUO

Fine for FM24, perhaps not max graphics settings but good for medium at least.

Will be ok for FM25 at lower graphics presets.

Yes.

You'll probably need to use graphics settings below the max for FM25 based on what we've seen around system requirements but it'll do the job.

Basically the same story as the previous one, just it does have a better CPU so will progress the game a bit quicker.

As per the OP, we don't comment on how many leagues to expect to run, as how good the speed is, is a very subjective thing.

It's an excellent spec though, good CPU and graphics card.

However, this is the same spec (aside from SSD capacity) and it's probably a better build quality: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/msi-cyborg-15.6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-rtx-4060-512-gb-ssd-10260102.html

Thanks. I’ll take a look at that one.

What’s your thoughts on this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Katana-17-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B0BSXQ9RPS

Read some mixed reviews on the Katana.

Hello. I have been playing FM on my laptop for a while and am looking for an upgrade. FM still works well on my Laptop but other things have been slow.
this is the current laptop I am using at the moment.
https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-15-er0125od-Convertible-Windows®/dp/B09TWTTYWY

I am looking to spend around $300-500 on an upgrade if you think it would help my game experience. But if you believe my current laptop if good enough then I will probably save my money and thug it out for a year or two.

it’s Black Friday so any Amazon suggestions would be appreciated!

It would be helpful to know exactly which CPU is in the laptop.  Based on what I can find, I think it's probably the i5-1135g7, but we'd need confirmation of the CPU model to be sure.  If it is that CPU though, I can't see much on Amazon that I would consider a significant upgrade.

Hi, I am looking at purchasing this for FM, do you think it will do the job? And is there anything similar/better out there for same price? Would really appreciate your insight. Thanks!

inoticed aced aspire 3 16gb RAM is only £100 more, wondering if you have a better suggestion for £400? This is a gift so would be super helpful!
