Good going that's a very solid season. Hope you can start pushing on in Europe too now.

Thanks! It was tough in the beginning but a tactical change or five and we found our stride. Next step is to go through CL Group Stages. Hopefully this same team can make that happen. Almost every player has someone interested in them and I am just waiting for bidding to start. Already had few bids for Ivancevic but they were under 40m so didn't even entertain them :D

July, August 2024 Update

image.png.a4f81b065acc66fa169e805859b96902.png

Two persect months. Got a bit of a scare versus Partizan second leg and versus Slavia Prague second leg but made it through.

The group is VERY tough. Probably second toughest. RBS is very good and has great squad. There go my CL KO stages dreams. Maybe next year.

Two Debutants :D Sep 2024

Couldn't be happier with these two. Lovric has been immaculate for me these 4.5 years he's been at the club scoring 68 league goals in 114 games and in total 87 goals in 172 games.

Brnas on the other hand is youth academy product that's been nurtured into one of the best DLP in the country and this is his only second season with the first team. Amazing progress by Brnas.

Summer of 2024 Transfer Window

image.thumb.png.37d0f279b0041d68541f73137a2b927e.png

Not that much of traffic in the club but lots of players were loaned out. Mostly to better competitions than I could provide in 2. HNL.

IN

Shapovalov was agreed many moons ago and didn't turn out as good as I expected. Bit disappointed.

Barbieri was shown here before and is becoming a regular starter even. Bargain.

Jerner Panikvar is one for the future and at 16 looks like an absolute beast of a striker. Will be nurtured in the II team for couple of years and then jump into first team.

Oprea is a replacement for Ignat. One Romanian for another one. Left footed and already good enough to contend for first team.

Blaz Horvat is another inexpensive buy but mostly for selling purposes. Will be on loans a lot.

Marco Solomon is another striker that will be nurtured in youth setup due to his combination of skills.

OUT

Lots of loaned out players. Only sale is few posts up in Ignat.

Below Brnas there are Nikola Vlasic (Inter) and Mario Pasalic (Tottenham) and Marin Ljubic (Union Berlin). 9/23 players are mine basically :D

Home Grown Player Count Oct 2024

image.png.25053dcb04773d566025cda6ab033829.png

We have 12 players as HGC, same as last year. As Blazevic retired and we brought in academy product Toni Silic. Kubista is to be HGC in a year so that will be 13 in 2025 and Oprea could be HGN in 2027 but who knows if he will stay at the club then.

I played quite a bit of games here and there and lacked time to update the thread :D

Dominance in the league, breezing through the cup and somehow managed to finish second in the CL Group stages :D All that with injured Arezo for most of the time. Beat both RBS and Bayern home and away and lost to Barca twice.

Real Madrid First Leg 18th Feb

image.png.490368d28968f3c3c70862be39dc9d04.png

Had some decent chances, let Real control the ball but conceded two stuuuuupid goals. One was OG, the other was this.

oEAfdfQ.gif

Throw in from Mendy to Casemiro to punts it left footed to Jovic who loses My center back with 17 JR and scores easily. I am disappointed by the goals I conceded.

Youth Intake Lad Alert Mar 2025

image.thumb.png.0ece7bcf976462d87615ed3163ab8051.png

Definitely one for the future and will most likely be contending for the first team in couple more years. Arezo and Beljo staying means I cannot promote any youngsters.

He is either footed, tall and good finisher. Bad concentration tho but I hope that can be improved with game time.

He improved a lot.

How do you train your players to become so good?
Trying to develop my own youngsters and still trying to get the best results!

I use either PRD training if there are no glaring holes in the game like JR, heading for center backs and if there are glaring hole I try to fix them to acceptable levels by using only Additional focus.

image.png.4934aed42788f8edeabf0b4b07459e8d.png

This is how I set up my intensity levels with everyone in the club being on automatic

image.thumb.png.9374ec8ac51b7058c3cda433643d67e5.png

Youth team has 4th option as double intensity as well.

And I play youth players. I give players a chance.

This was Cubelic at the start of the save.

image.png.51c1a483cf8cc2a0298dd2859a5ece7b.png

And he played a lot, except the injury ridden 2023/24 season when he tore his abdominal muscle and then broke his achilles tendon few weeks after recovering. This is his attributes and progress all-time.

image.thumb.png.bfa8ddd2f05cc78bb540195b2f7fa7d4.png

I think I had him on Roaming Playmaker training.

Another example is someone I brought in winter of 2021, so first season winter transfer window.

image.thumb.png.6501f060c0d6a3c1478ed26f4e08b6b9.png

Not that big of a progress but is much more rounded player that fills AMC and AMR role beautifully.

One more example..

image.thumb.png.812cd0af793d36d1457c7cc362189834.png

I think I trained him on additional focus speed and after a year I switched to trequartista to bump his technique, dribbling, acc, agility, vision..

Bought for €2.4m in 2021 Karlo has been a staple of my midfield and made his debut for the international team. Looks like has a bit more potential in there.

February March Update 2025

Started second part of the season bit shaky and even lost the first spot to Gorica but been able to recoup the form with some tactical changes and now we're cruising to another title and possibly Cup as well.

image.png.ab9e1106feda4ead7b805d502fd056b0.png

Staying as best offensively and defensively even though it seemed like we were very leaky but just didn't concede due to having a good keeper.

image.png.059ea6bc3dbd6845580d367216a1c2bb.png

Finances getting better and better.

So, if I get it right, you put as the standard training method the role they are gonna fulfill in the strata they gonna fulfil and if there is something wrong you double down through specific traing, got it!
I never used them both because I remember reading that if you use aditional focus training the players may not like it and not improve, and that would be bad, but at the same time it is hard to have a full back or DM with good spread of attributes but with 5/6/7 on positioning or passing or concentration.

And training schedule, any method to the madness? :D
I've been using/adapting crusaderstar schedules and other personalized, but I think the coaches and buildings must be improved.

I use PRD or additional focus. Never both at the same time because then they focus on too many things at the same time and there is not growth. Also, things like concentration improve with game time.

Training schedule was linked a page or two before this one in a comment to @karanhsingh, RDF schedule but I only use technical and versus top European teams I use balanced. For U19, II and First team.

Also, mentoring :D I don't pay attention to positions, I just put mentors with good personality and determination in mentoring groups and then young lads with worse personality or determination. I have Resolute lad and since that's among the best in the team I did not put him in mentoring group.

Thank you! This helped quite a lot.

Never commentes before but I've been lurking the save, love it and have a soft spot for Hajduk due to being a Benfica fan. Good save :)

Champions x4!!!

image.png.5f1edab17dfc48a6ce669effdaf8e3a0.png

Dominant win against 4th placed Rijeka gives us a title in 32nd round of the season, 4 games before the end.

Wonderkid Brnas scored for 2-1 in 75th minute after...well, see for yourself.

kB8RkU8.gif

And victory was sealed by a long shot by our leader Vuskovic at the last seconds.

4 in a row. We have now been winners for 10 times since the formation of independent Croatia in 1991. Dinamo has 22 in total. So I have at least 13 more seasons to play until Hajduk becomes most winningest (is that even a word?) team in the country.

Semifinals Cup Thriller April 2025

image.png.eeaabd48b177650c84327d165b2ee5c3.png

I was losing 2-0 to two stupid goals (Cabraja getting sold this summer, had enough with him :)) and then in 50th min or so decided to go full on attack and managed to climb to a comeback with Arezo scoring off the bench. 2-2 going into Extra Time and Biuk just goes on a rampage! FOUR GOALS! What a lad. Shows the strength of a local lad playing for the shirt!

edit- thankfully, injury is only twisted knee, out for a week.

It can't go without the drama but oh well. Makes it so much sweeter. In what might be his last game for the club, Arezo brought us the medal as the Cup winner!

Sell-On Clause

image.png.67a0bf0e2dc522bead33f989ee0252fa.png

This brings the total to €12.7m in total to a profit of €10.7m.

Youngster Sale

image.png.7fe35acc0c997613ea3f7aa0f5d4010b.png

Just a youngster that wouldn't get into the team for few years and €1.8m profit is something I'll take every day for a player of his ability and potential. No sell-on clause for us.

Am sad to see Biuk go as he was instrumental in how we played and actually developed extremely well from what looked like a stop-gap when I promoted him. Stats and overall progress below.

Now, who do I have in II team or U19 to promote as left winger...

Replacement...?

unknown.png

Only issue with Aloisio is that he is not fast. He was brought in last winter and actually looks like a perfect replacement for Lovric in 3 years considering Lovric is 29. And is solid backup for the lad until then. He is currently injured for 2 weeks.

He did perform for U19 and was going to play for II team but looks like will make a jump to first team.

Big Blow...

image.png.ff34f8a25cd826fe800bac3d22ab4d4e.png

Remember when I had to promote a youngster from U19 because we sold a left winger? Well, I have to find a new left winger and pretty sure this injury cost Lovric about 2 years of his playing career.

Transfers Summer 2025

image.png.1daa1772d8b20b002f8d64866dddcb04.png

I have not brought in anyone in the summer but I have revamped my scouting network and getting more players in scouting meeting. Also, loaned out bunch of players and main outgoing transfers were shown in previous posts.
