I'm moving out with some uni friends in the new year and i'll want it so i can be in the lounge / been socaible while messing about on my computer, desktops just isn't a viable option im afraid, i would of got one otherwise as i could easily put together a decent computer on that budget :(

All it has to do is play the game, im not all that bothered about the match engine allthough it would be preferable lol

I've got a four-year old laptop that runs the 3D match in the demo passably, so don't be put off. I can't multitask when the match is running without the computer crawling to a virtual halt though.

I don't know about the Intel card, but when shopping around, keep your eyes open for laptops that are designed to be semi-desktops. They tend to be more geared towards things like gaming, as opposed to business travel. They can cost significantly more though, so if you're on a tight budget and want to play the latest games and be able to do so for several years, get a desktop. Don't you think that playing FM when socialising would be a little, to put it bluntly, rude?

Anyway if my 4 year-old laptop can cut it (ATI Mobility Radeon X700 with hacked 8.1 catalyst drivers), then surely you can find a laptop that can ;) Note that I paid around 1,700 Euros for that 4 years ago, which is obviously way more that your budget. But the laptop is now worth only a fraction of that, and technology has moved on in leaps and bounds. have you thought of buying second hand?

haha yeah I see your point, but if you saw what unbearable tv my mate watched you would understand! I think i'll take my chance, I can't really afford much else as I need to start saving for a bond for the house now, worst case scenario I play with the match commentary, as long as I can play the game!

On the upside I took a risk buying the game after reading about all the errors and it works fine on my dads computer with no installation issues, so i'm just looking forward to starting unemployed and working my way up to the premiership!
