creating a team in fm2008

i am looking to experiment with creating my own team in fm 2008 and would appreciate some pointers on doing so.i had a crack at it on fm 2006 and had some success but the editor was a bit easier to navigate back then,also can someone explain to me how i can enter them into say the bluesquare premier division once i have created the team

First off, make sure you keep the number of teams in each division constant. When you add your team to a competition, you have to get rid of another. I take the lowest rep and "relegate" them down, then take the lowest rep from that league and "relegate" /them/, repeating until the team I'm getting rid of has no competition entered. Note the top and bottom reputations of the competition you are entering.

For everything you're about to create, be thorough. Click on every tree-menu line available and every tab, making changes as you deem fit.

Start by creating your city, if it doesn't already exist. You might want to create a weather in the process, but since I use real places, I just use the weather of the region. Then, make your stadium and local media (a newspaper, radio, and/or TV station). Later, we'll add a club website. Add your club. Keep the club's rep in line with the competition you wish to enter. Finances must also be proportionate, 'cause the game doesn't like it when they're not and will adjust them as it sees fit. As you go, create the people you'll need to populate your club...board member(s), staff, any players you want. Once you're done, go back and make the club-affiliated website.

Now that you've got your club, on the Details screen you have a line for competition. Check the box and click the search icon. Search for the competition you wish to enter, click on it when you find it, and click "OK" or hit Enter. Don't click "OK" or hit Enter until the cometition is highlighted in the search results. Repeat with any teams you're "relegating" or removing from the active world. Remember to keep the number of teams in all competitions constant, or you'll not be able to select your country when you start a new game.

i created my own team and put it in blue square south and everytime i use my own databases whatever team i've edited loses all its money through dividends, is there any way i can prevent this?
