Good to see Kitolano move to PSG - you could probably get him back on loan as well. I decided against going down the loaning him back route. Instead looking for a more permanent replacement. KUPTGW Ahh am surprised him and big Tobias are the only players that I haven’t wanted to sell that have came under offers. Aga sitting at 15 in 15! Games as mad as this sounds. He’s hit a bit of a slump recently missing the chances he normally loves to take. Got himself a penalty last game I played so hopefully gets him back in among the goals
Hootieleece
I don't mid selling players to big teams especially if they are willing to loan them back at $0 cost to me. Which allows me to find a replacement without disrupting the current squad. Really works well with a youth oriented save. (sign First team players Under-23 )

I'd rather sell a player to a smaller club, for example; Lille/Marsielle then they move to PSG, they're more likely to play at the age of 24/25 than join as a 20/21 year old.

SixPointer
@ToMexico!! @Hootieleece think they already loaned him back out. Haven’t played for a few days but will check after the holidays. was too good a deal would have liked a sell on clause. The fact inter juve man united and PSG all tracked him I didn’t have many smaller teams to choose from ahaha

SixPointer
Odds Bk Chasing Glory Well after a very busy festive period and moving house. I am back onto the quest for success with the oldest club in Norway. So onto the second half of the second season we go. In the interest of catching back up. This will be one big half of the season update. So detail may be slightly toned down at times. With the Kitolano money available and a centre midfield needing bolstered it was time to dip into the market So two options were bought in. A expensive outlay and one absolute bargain. Bonke Innocent Returns to Norway after 5 seasons in Sweden. The former lillestrøm ball winner signs for a mere 130k after being transfer listed. Physically strong and quick with superb mental attributes and the key technical ones required, He will really add some out and out defensive qualities to the midfield. Sivert Mannsverk Nesselquist finally gets his man. Nesselquist was a great admirer of the young Sogndal captain but never had the funds nor a place for him. With Kitolano moving on he is now brought to the club. He much like Bonke offers more of a workmen like option. Compare with the attacking or playmaking we have at the minute. He breaks the record but at his age and his current ability I can see him either spending years becoming a legend at the club or becoming hot property in Europe. Shifted on a few more as well. Rashani and Ingebrightsen are no longer required due to the tactical shift away from using wide men. Gregersen has really not proved himself so best to cash in. Lindseth went for Mannsverk. August Welcoming the inform Kristiansund and the champions Bodo/Glimt to the Skagerak Area will be a tough way to start the month of. Before a journey up to the artic circle to Europe's most northerly top flight club Tromso who take that title after bouncing back after relegation. Sarpsborg round the month off. August got a whole lot harder after this. although young Hetle is more than capable of stepping up. Sickening blow against the champions, By all means it was probably a fair result but to loose it so late on is a big blow! The injury list grows. This time our young RWB who has been decent in his breakthrough season. 1-1 Draw in the artic followed by a munch needed win at home to Sarpsborg breaks the poor run of draws. 12 unbeaten is still decent as we started to head to the business end. Hopefully the wins will carry on. After 20 games very much in the mix of the title race, but its the draws that is killing us, if we are to mount a serious challenge they need to be turned into wins. Nice trend to our defences displays. Helps having one of the best keepers in Norway I must add. Doing well with the chances we create, Considering we do play on the counter end of the style there is still a decent amount of creation. The under 19's bring home the title in the region! Blitzing the competition which in truth should be expected the fact that the club is by far the biggest. Molde on deadline day! Safe to say they really wanted to get a centre midfielder in. The timing was all wrong and the fees too low. But Kaasa and Hoff I would of perhaps negotiated had it been more time to find a replacement. Berg joined Kitolano in moving to a top European club. Nice to see Norway being recognised and some of its talent being taken to the top level. September Huge table topping tie to kick off September as we head to the capital. Followed by two games that really need to be turned into 6 points to mount a title challenge. A defeat!!! Aga Tried to dig us out a mess but wasn't to be. After two great results our hard work is undone, Great point in the capital before demolishing Haugensund at home which is fast becoming a fortress. Then losing on the road. Away performances and results are really starting to hold us back. Devastating blow as our first choice centre back takes a real bad one in training. Probably been our best CB out of the 3 all season. Massive blow for a title chances. October Again the month starts off with a big title clash, but this time its home advantage which has been key. basement boys Sogndal then come for a visit before a tricky trip to Bergen, Brann have been very indifferent but its always a tough trip. Before a massive away day at Sandefjord which really is must win considering there position in the table. Massive results the Skagerak Arena really does gives us a huge edge. Far from a classic, But the size of the result cant be underestimated! Talk about tight at the top! Defensively leading the way, but also leading the way on the draw front! I wouldn't rule any of the top 6 out! Bodo/Glimt and Molde are at a slight disadvantage as they still have European ties to play. Colossal Result! Superb match as well! Had it all. Sondre Rossbach was unbelievable! a penalty save then after the sending off kept the door closed as we came under pressure. Superb battling qualities all over the park some maybe to much Mannsverk. Lauritsen took his chance. all round stellar away performance and more importantly result! Yet again the hard work is undone by a horrendous away result. Lucky to escape with a point cause it was totally undeserved. Bodo/Glimt loose the game in hand!!! The Table with 3 left to play! Simply does not get bigger than this! Win 3 games and Nesselquist will bring home the title to Odd for the first time in there history! Hammer Blow! Late goal and Aga passed up a couple of huge chances! Performance was there but the result dents the title hopes!! Molde dig out a massive point in the last minute! The Skagerak will hold the crunch match! What a Spectacle! We need our fortress to shine threw!! We are still favourites! Leagues top scorers against the best defence! 1st against 2nd! Potential title decider! Unbelievable stuff!!! Larsen came in for Aga after his missed chances at Viking and boy did he take his chance a superb hattrick! Pure counter attacking performance sends the title into a nail biting final day! Its safe to say we have the toughest test. Given our away form and the fact it is Rosenborg. Though Viking will be tricky away from home for Molde, Valerenga possibly favourites with a home fixture against relegation battlers. Well that really sums up Norwegian football only 200 fans travelling for the chance to see there team win there first ever title! Sickening! We lose the title on the last game of the season! Conceding early was catastrophe! Then last 20 we really went for it and were hammered 3 times after over committing! brutal way to loose it! The 200 fans get there money back. Maybe the rest never travelled because they knew! At this point am really gutted!! Thanks for reading! ill be back shortly with some more in depth analysis of the season. SixPointer
Odds Bk Chasing Glory Season Summary On the whole it was a good solid season with some good progression from last year into Europe now but, The manner of losing the title was a tough one to take ive only just managed to get myself motivated to go again. Here ill just briefly round up my season before setting off on next year. Good few records broke from young Oscar Aga and Sondre Rossbach takes another big record, Both being named player and young player is no surprise. Nice personal award for club captain Steffen Hagen Kristiansund Bk take the cup home! They had a great season as a club! Tromso go close who also had a good overall season. Only a few things in terms of us here. Signing of the season Oscar Aga!! The two worst signings were players we sold which is nice especially making profit on both sales. Its very evident that too many draws have cost us joint 2nd in the league. Lowest for defeats is nice but we really need to sort out the draws. Another key area is goals scored, the lowest scored in all of the top 6 but, lowest conceded so balance I suppose. Home form was incredible only 1 defeat all year at the Skagerak Arena, Only conceding 7 as well, Pure fortress. By stark contrast our away performance was shocking, 19 goals conceded!! only 3 wins! simply not good enough. Considering we played a brand of counter attacking am very surprised how we toiled so much on the road which has turned me to the tactics in the summer and has effected my recruitment as well which will be revealed in the next update! XG Table tells its own story as we out perform in every aspect! face slightly more shots than average but due to the fact we have a great keeper helps! We don't go shooting for the sake of it, and what shots we did take we did convert them well! Possession expected to be low when playing on the counter side of things, but I would still prefer to slightly higher, Tactically next season we will look to be more of a transition attacking team rather than pure counter, we sort of shifted to that a little more already this season. 4th for clear cut chances created is high, Showing that when we did counter we did make good chances. The conversion rate shows our strikers take these chances as well! We however don't shoot very often at all. possibly down to us waiting to create the perfect chance! We rarely lose possession which is pleasing in a sense. but as a counter attacking team you'd expect it to be higher with more risk passing something again to be addressed. Most tackles in the league was essential if our low block was to be effective! But looking closer shows that we also our ratio of winning them could be a far better! more work to be done. The area I knew we a really had to excel at in the low block. coming up against so many crosses all CB's played there part. One of my favourite areas 1 goal conceded all season from a corner which delights me as I take a lot of care and attention setting up my defence corner. Player Stats Both strikers share the goal scoring responsibility equally! 28 league goals between them. But its Oscar Aga who is the more clinical of the two! Our left wing back who was originally a back up option is the only man to get on the assists table. Only 6 assists from our main two creative midfielders. Worrying creation wise I would have liked one at least two have bossed it but they do a lot of dirty work. Neither made the key passes as well! But, a plus is Gronli who is our player out on loan topped it. So we could bring him into the fold next year. He gets about the park as well, could be drafted into the number 10 role! Like he played for Haugensund who battled relegation. A big set of stats that probably allude to why there creation was vastly lower than expected. club legend still dominating in the air well into his mid 30's Rossy tops the table in save ration and clean sheets! Stellar season and really staking a claim to be Norway no1. Next Season After looking at the stats away form is a big area we need to work on. I think tactically its time to evolve a little from the deep block as well. I have a speedy CB lined up to help push us up the park. Hagen is sublime as a defender but pace is now a real worry. I want to also break into a more attacking style which is making me reach for my Atalanta tactic that I covered extensively on Fm20 in the tactic section. Which will aid the attacking numbers. but finding the balance is key as I don't want to loose all our great defensive work. Next update will be a tactical one with transfers and pre season. After getting a few players in today before writing ive got a bit of a buzz back after throwing away the league.

I played a 532 with Exeter in the English League One and, while we won the title, we relied too much on the strikers having a good game, while the midfield 3 contributed nothing much. Despite being relegation favourites in League Two, I pushed the middle CM up to AMC and it transformed our play. We looked far more threatening without giving up much in defence. Won the L1 title as well in back-to-back promotions. You could still field a DM in the tougher away games if necessary.
Hootieleece
Too bad about losing the league..... AMC's as #10 are good but you need an exceptional player to escape getting marked out of the game by a DM. I know because I often play a 4-2-3-1 Wide in which the AMC is Pivotal...Matias Palacios made a superb AMC for my Clermont Team on FM20. This year my AMC #10's have been struggling and I actually have gone for 5-3-2 WB and a 5-2-1-2 against team without DM's. Just food for thought.... SixPointer
Odds Bk Chasing Glory Tactical Tweaks First up I have a Higher Block, Overload down the right, With a Treq which is very much up for trial. Between that and AM(s). Idea behind this is to give us chance of disturbing opponents earlier in build up. After analysis I worked out we gave teams to much respect on the road. So this is a option to still stick to our core idea of being a team on the break but with more control when we do win it back. For this I had to add some pace at the back, the back 3 duties will change depending on what the opponent chucks at us. The middle block much more like our main tactic last season. This time overloaded left side, I never took to overloads much last season duet to being pure counter attacking, but after a lack of goals, I want to give the tactics a few dimensions off attacking options. DM in there doing the dirty work. Again am looking to still transition quickly but at the top end am not wanting to waste it. We didn't take lots of shots last year we did wait to create clearer chances, We just need to create more. And Finally a low block with a more brutal counter attacking idea. Aiming to sit in and frustrate the opponents before attacking at speed instantly. We have the best defenders in the league for tackling, marking, Heading, concentration, bravery and positioning so we should be well equipped for defending deep. It worked well last year hence why the tactics are designed the way they are. Each block designed to be compact to stop teams playing through us easily. Our new assistant manager John Dahl Tomasson alerts us to 4 pre agreed transfers. John was brought in after Odd Berg retired at the end of the season. "John was an exceptional footballer who is well known worldwide, He is a fantastic coach with a great football brain, I love his enthusiasm for the game its a massive honour to have him working by my side and a partnership am sure will prosper" Jesper Daland First big transfer which was agreed last season, Allowing him to stay with Start for remainder of there season. In hindsight was a poor idea after the horrendous leg break. couple areas needing worked are tackling and aggression at 22 am sure they will come on. I do like the idea of him not being rash as well. But the main aspect why I signed him is his immense physical attributes. Erlend Reitan With the legend that is Espen Ruud now in serious physical decline, I had to move to bolster the RWB area, Jonson and Reitan will now battle it out for the first team slot. Sadly Ruud plays in a area of the pitch were we simply need pace. He is staying at the club to offer mentorship to both lads. Reitan looks like someone who does the basics very well, by no means is he the flying wing back type. Alexander Hrcka Sannes 13 goals and 5 assists in the 2nd tier at Lillestrøm. He fits the bill as Nesselquist striker signing much like the Oscar Aga deal. Young strikers who have scored goals at the level below. The main difference Sannes is big physical young man who will provide Tobias with some much needed competition for that pivot role up top. Rough around the edges but 19 and been capped at that level so potential to be unlocked. Albert Braut Tjåland Younger cousin of Erling Haaland, He definitely has some of the same physical qualities. Coming through at Molde he was yet to break into the first team. But with his fantastic pace and raw striking qualities he will certainly be pushing Oscar Aga for a position playing on the shoulder! Couple more Incoming after the window opened. Thomas Grøgaard Youth academy graduate re joins the club, Coming into his prime years and will challenge Tonnesson for the LWB slot. Simen Mikkelsen grew unhappy after becoming second choice to Tonnesson last season so Grogaard comes in to replace him. Grogaard another one that does the basics very well which again is key to our tactical idea. Erik Tobias Sandberg Last but certainly not least! I player I have signed in previous versions of the game. Unfortunately he starts the game with a knee ligament injury keeping him out of the whole first season, So I kept my eye on him in the second season as he recovered then decided to pounce. The heir to Steffen Hagen's Throne at the heart of the defence. Supreme in the air and a good solid old school defender with basic on the ball qualities. Kaasa sad to see him go, but really never lived up to my first opinion of him and at 1.2 million a good earner. Kassi, Mikalsen became unhappy with no first team football so both moved on for small profits. Young Erlien was victim of shifting away from wide men last season I did consider training him in the number ten but opted for Wallem instead so again moved on, Few younger players left and Furu now surplus to requirements with Maeland coming back to challenge for first team. With news coming out of Odd about a big development at the club we managed to catch up with the manager Ole Martin Nesselquist Ole you must be delighted with the news of cash injection into the youth facilities at the club? "its a fantastic step in the right direction for the club as a whole, We recently have had some really talented boys break into the first team from the academy so Its key we keep improving this area as its vital" The club has spent money in the window so how have the board sanctioned this? "without letting to much info out, The board and myself agreed that a high percentage of money made from sales of direct academy products will be reinvested into the sector of the club, So with the big sale of Kitolano already being re invested when Kaasa went and we still had budget from Kitolano the board decided to invest the whole Kaasa fee much am sure Markus would be happy to hear" Fantastic news, A huge loss in the title running. He has missed all of pre season so will take time to get back but great to have him back. The good news was short lived! As young Kuci get a horror injury, In his breakthrough season could prove to be very detrimental for the young man. He was certainly ready to start playing his part. Players that have returned from loan and ready to challenge for first team places. Maeland to challenge at LCB, Wallem and Gronli to battle it out for number 10, Zafeiris and Aas will challenge for the mezzala berth. A lot of trial and Error in Pre Season, but now am happy with the balance of the tactics. Its safe to say the opening 3 games of the season are definitely going to test us. Two of last season title challengers and another tough trip to Bergen. So safe to say after the first 3 games I will definitely have an idea of how we are doing!
SimpleFM
Good signings, some of those players returning on loan look awesome! Your mini Haaland looks better than mine How is Filip Rönningen Jörgensen for you? I am looking at him or Syveer Aas as potential incomings if a player leaves.

SixPointer
Odds Bk Chasing Glory Start of The Season March 2022 I knew it was a tough start to the season, at a glance it would appear our away issue is still hanging over us, However. "The result certainly wasn't what I wanted, but the performance was far better than. Taking the lead, Creating chances and working the goalkeeper so positive signs. Oscar scores the penalty when we were on top and it could well have went the other way" Dominant home performance, Defence on top form. The front 3 just didn't seem to click quite right, Massive display from Rønningen Jorgensen bossed the midfield and got a great goal. Fantastic counter attack and solo run from the corner! Brann always a tough place to go, Huffed and Puffed but just stuttered to a poor result. A smash and grab in terms of Brann only having one shot in target. So after 3 games Odd make the worst start in the league under Nesselquist. Work to be done. The work being done, Was a tweak to the AMC role in the main Tactic. I now go with a Shadow Striker, The Treq simply put never worked at all, Just took space of the RPM and DLF, so now the plan is the overload on the right will draw the CB out and the Shadow Striker can take advantage of the space. It also make more of front 3.
Sheriff7
Τough and unfair defeat against Brann.I'm pretty sure much better results will come in the next games.

Yeah unfortunate result. the performance and style of play is there just need to knuckle it down. Think the SS had opened the door. Positives. And no I Think we’ve just hit a little purple patch long may it continue. update tomorrow
SimpleFM
I suspect youll be scoring lots more goals with the tactic update, not sure the defences in Norway could handle a front 3 and the SS causes mayhem. Interesting but I've rotated to a new tactic for a few games and I gave up the SS ..

SixPointer
Odds Bk Chasing Glory April 2022 The Cupen kicks off! As the most successful side ever I really do want a good cup run. April is a packed month. Valerenga away sticks out with home game at Molde another big game. Throw in the cup tie and we are going to need some good squad rotation. 24 minutes oh here we go again!! But a few minutes later a superb goal from Aga gets us level, A goal from a corner then takes us into half time leading. Aga wrapped up a fantastic away day! Much needed to say the least. Great pass, And what a finish! Coming from the short throw inside our half. Destroyed Viking at home. Complete performance! Aga with a double and another chip. But most importantly Aas gets a brace as well in the shadow striker role. This is more like it Rønningen, He has really stepped up in his new RPM role. Aga lives on that shoulder! The second string take care of business in the Cupen! First start for Sannes and Tjåland brings 3 goals for the young men! They didn't take all the headlines though. Academy product comes in at the RCB slot and looks to have potential! Another favourable draw which will give the full second string another run! Adds another game into an already busy April! Another complete performance at the Skagerak Arena. My favourite goal of the season thus far. Its great when your plan works. Tobias the DLF knocks down to Rønningen the RPM who slides in Aas the shadow striker into the space. The movement and the pass and finish is absolutely what I want from my right hand side. Now you're talking! That is an away result to saviour! Aga missed a handful of chances as well which should have put us out of sight. Aas really turns it on! The shadow striker proving the difference! He times his run perfectly to get on the end of a great team move. The Unbeaten run against the champions goes on! Yet to beat Nesselquist. He certainly does get one over them!! The young man hits home his first league goal against his former club. In a nice purple patch! Key are the two solid away wins. long may it continue. Second string secures a place in the 3rd round of the Cupen. Grogaard with a wonder strike! Home tie but definitely potential for a slip up. We will look to avenge the 1937 cup final defeat. Nothing like a little history. Failed to make our pressure pay against Ranheim. The leagues surprise package so far. Phenomenal month! pitty we couldn't really round if off in real style by winning in Trondheim, against the second club in the city. Played a extra game, but the table looks good as we head into may. A real pleasure is we are top scorers and best for goals against. Unfortunately Kristiansund have matched that! Defensively were our usual self nice and solid, Which has been a major factor in our previous successes. Its key we keep to this standard even when chasing more attacking play. Here is where we see a real difference! In previous seasons we have been clinical but we are now adding a more aggressive factor to it. Taking a lot more shots. 4 Key Stats Certainly a big difference tactically in this area, as we now top the shots attempted table. Even at this early stage it seems our attacking play has ramped up. We however haven't came away from our core principles, Still ranking as the team with the most tackles. key product of the over all philosophy of becoming and excellent transitional attacking team. A big complaint from myself at the end of last season was that my CM's didn't give enough creative output. so much that so that Hoff and Kaasa were moved on. Rønningen at this time tops two of the most important creative stats. The switch to RPM and adding direct passes instruction have played a pivotal role in this change. along with more varied movement ahead. Today we caught up with Filip Rønningen Jorgenson dubbed "Ronni" by the Odd faithful after he was awarded Player of the month. Filip you must be delighted with the start to the season? "Yes its been a good start from the boys, We had a hard opening spell and we have came through it and started to build momentum" On a personal level you look to have taken your game up a level? "The gaffer challenged me in pre season to get on the ball more and be brave with my passing in particular, He showed the belief so am just happy to have started to repay him in that and hopefully this is just a beginning of a great season" Ole Martin Himself collected the manager of the month award what is it like working under him? "Ole's attention to detail is incredible no stone goes un turned in his approach to tactics and analysis of the game, The fact he is where he is in the game at his age is testament to how good he is, That fact alone lends itself to why he believes in so many of the younger boys like myself"

SimpleFM
Also a tip for you, be careful when you get to 2026. The Norwegian season plays games during the World Cup, I've lost 8 first team players to the Norway and Sweden squads and it looks like they will miss 6 games I was not prepared..
