EmeraldCityGooner
All, I am a noob to the forum but I've been following football my entire life. I'm looking for someone to point me in the direction of a club to manage as my beloved Seattle Sounders are not a playable team in the game. I am open to any and all suggestions. However, I find lower-league teams to be the most attractive as I understand and sympathize with their struggles the most. I hope to get some good recommendations. Thanks, ECG
shanks
Welcome to the Forums.... One of the hardest challenges has got to be luton town. -30 points at the start. I'm sure that'll tickle your fancy. Other than that i'd go for any BSN/BSS team and see what you can make out of them. I suggest Chelmsford City

EmeraldCityGooner
Lads, I was hoping that we could have a bit more fun with this and I could learn about teams that were not in the first division in Europe. There's plenty of fascinating teams that I, as a Yank, haven't heard about and have good history. There's the giants who are fighting their way back but plenty of minnows who have come from nowhere to look quite good (like Histon this year in the Conference). Being a fan of the only American club that has pretty much been promoted I am looking for someone to tell me why I should try my hand at managing their club in FM. Hope that helps better explain. Hazaowl
If you want a 'sleeping giant' and are up to a chllenge, then i'd pick sheffield wednesday (CCC), a few decent players, no money (26millio in debt) but a big stadiuim and great history
nade.14.
If you want a minnow look no further than annan athletic in the scottish 3rd devision they have just been accepted into the league this year after gretna went out of business so theres a great challenge for you no money poor standard of players little stadium small support why not give that a go? Hope this helps
EmeraldCityGooner
That actually might not be a bad idea. US legend John Harkes played there back in the day and Frankie Simek plays there currently despite being hurt most of last year. Plus I've got a soft spot in my heart for owls.
