doubldragon Posted November 25, 2008 Share Posted November 25, 2008 I've been playing the demo, trying to shake the rust off my FM skills, but I keep running into problems giving the other team free shots on goal. Problem 1) Playing with Spurs, I invariably give up 2-3 FKs per game on the edge of the box. I've also given a penalty in about 1 out of every 3 games. I've dropped tackling down to easy, but it doesn't seem to change the frequency of them Problem 2) Other teams are converting these chances at a very high rate. I put a guy on each post to cut down on the target size, but FKs have still cost me several matches. Am I unlucky, or is there something I can do differently? jabso Posted November 25, 2008 Share Posted November 25, 2008 I'm no tactics genius but it may be due to high closing down on your defensive line. If the defenders have high closing down, they will not keep their shape as much and may have to try last ditch tackles. Could also be due to a too high defensive line.
