Game restarts every time after switching apps

Hi,

Can someone explain to me the following issue:

I’m playing FMT21 on the ipad.

While playing I switch to Safari by double tapping the home button and choose Safari.
When I return (by again double tapping the home button and choose FMT21) FMT restarts. 
This is so annoying! Why cant I switch between apps without restarting this?

What’s causing this?

It was the same on FMT18, 19 and 20.

Anyone?

Doesn’t happen to me on my iPad. Only happened on FM20 sometimes when I loaded about 20 leagues.

Happens to me, much more then previous versions.

Having to wait through all the splash screens on startup is annoying.

Which device do you have?

Generally speaking there isn't a lot we can do as it is upto iOS to decide how many apps it will keep running, FM is a large database and uses a lot of memory so generally if you have a lower memory device its quite likely it can't keep FM in memory while using another app, we will continue to try and optimise memory usage but there is a limit to how much it can be reduced!

That has 2GB memory -  so I suspect it is a device fairly vulnerable to to the OS wanting to free up memory if you switch apps (and Safari also potentially will use a lot of memory especially if you have lots of tabs open etc)
