INTER-CONTINENTAL CUPS FOR FM 21.3/4 UPDATE

 

Back for yet another year - the Inter-Continental Cups, resuming where the old Toyota Cup ended and expanded for other games between continental cup winners per below:

Inter-Continental Champions Cup (ICCC):
UEFA Champions League Winners versus Copa Libertadores da América Winners

Inter-Continental Champions Shield (ICCS):
UEFA Europa League versus Copa Sudamericana Winners

Inter-Continental Champions Trophy (ICCT)
UEFA Champions League Winners versus CONCACAF Champions League Winners

Inter-Continental Americas Cup (ICAC)
Copa Libertadores da América Winners versus CONCACAF Champions League Winners

All games 7 subs from 12 man bench.
Extra Time and Penalties
Most games during July preseason
Rotating Host Stadiums
History added back to 2000 season for immersion

Update 21.3 and 21.4

@majesticeternity Thanks. I've been a bit slow this year.

Automatic Updates clearly not working, so I'll post any changes or tweaks here, but will try to avoid too many incremental updates as it's working and people just wanna play rather than keep waiting on SI/Steam to fix things.

I think @erikeagles has done this already? He does one most years unless I'm confusing him with @zangelmi who also does several preseason comps. I've not done any friendly touraments for a while I'm afraid.

Updated for FM 21.3

I will test it as soon as a national update comes out with the structure of Brazil and I will tell you, before the patch worked perfectly I use this national update and the @majesticeternity files

These competitions for me are fundamental, can someone put it to work in patch 21.4? Or do they work? Because I'm in a save and I didn't even test it.

It works on 21.4, which was only a minor update. I'm running it in 21.4 at least without issues.

I thought it wasn't working on that patch nine, I had to check it out.

I could notice here in my save that it has a wrong history in the Inter-Continental Champions Cup (ICCC):
UEFA Champions League winners against Copa Libertadores de América winners

2008 - Manchester United won by Ldu (in the game another team appears as the winner)
2011 - Barcelona beat Santos (the game is reversed)
2012 -Corinthians beat Chelsea (the game is reversed)
2013 - Bayern Munich beat Raja Casablanca (in the game he beat Atlético Mineiro)
2015 - Barcelona beat River Plate (the game is reversed)
2017 - Real Madrid beat Grêmio (the game is the other way around)

2018 - Real Madrid beat Al Ain (River Plate is in the game)

 

History errors where the competition took place:

2009- The competition took place in the city of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)

2010 - The competition took place in the city in the city of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)

2013 - The competition took place in Morocco (Marrakech)

2014 - The competition took place in Morocco (Marrakech)

2017- The competition took place in the city in the city of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)

2018 - The competition took place in the city in the city of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)

2019- The competition took place in the city in the city of Doha (Qatar)

These are fictional comps where I added the history for immersion by playing the matches in every FM version to get a result.

So, the Intercontinental Cup stopped in 2004 when the FIFA Club World Cup began. Which competition are you referring to above?

You are really right ... I will explain

Here in Brazil we always call the World Championship The European / South American Cup or European / South American Cup, Intercontinental Cup or Intercontinental Cup, or Toyota Cup or Toyota Cup (It has several names hahaha)

So I just continued her history with the FIFA Club World Cup that started in 2005 ... But you are in fact right, as this competition is extinct it is fictitious nowadays.

It would be nice to be able to make it happen in December to be the same it was in reality, but if it is not possible all these intercontinental cups are perfect for me: D

FYI This cup existed in 90s, was called Interamericana, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copa_Interamericana) That should be the history of competition winners.

I could delete 2005-2020, but the immersion is preferred to the gaps by many which is why I added them in the first place.

Thanks for the two links though, I'll add those results into the respective cups where they occurred for FM22
